ito medyo matagal ko na iniisip

ano ba ang metric o gusto makita ng world governments bago nila i-lift lahat ng restrictions and life can return to normal?

since we live with viruses that cause common cold and flu without any restrictions...

are world governments waiting for covid to become a less harmful disease before they lift all restrictions?

    di pa malinaw eh

kung ang metric nila wala na mag positive sa PCR sa buong mundo malabo bumalik sa normal ang mundo

60% of the population need to be vaccinated daw para magkaroon ng herd immunity.

    "Hehehe true ba to?

    If I get vaccinated: [emoji382][emoji382][emoji382]

1.- Can I stop wearing the mask?
    Government Response - No

2.- Can they reopen restaurants, bars etc and everyone work normally?
    Government Response - No

3.- Will I be resistant to covid?
Government Response - Maybe, but we don't know exactly, it probably won't stop you getting it

4.- At least I won't be contagious to others anymore?
Government Response - No you can still pass it on, possibly, nobody knows.

5.- If we vaccinate all children, will school resume normally?
    Government Response - No

6.- If I am vaccinated, can I stop social distancing?
    Government Response - No

7.- If I am vaccinated, can I stop disinfecting my hands?
    Government Response - No

8.- If I vaccinate myself and my grandfather, can we hug each other?
    Government Response - No

9.- Will cinemas, theatres and stadiums be reopened thanks to vaccines?
    Government Response - No

10.- Will the vaccinated be able to gather?
    Government Response - No

11.- What is the real benefit of vaccination?
Government Response - The virus won't kill you.

12.- Are you sure it won't kill me?
    Government Response - No

13.- If statistically the virus won't kill me anyway ... Why would I get vaccinated?"
Government Response - To protect others.

14.- So if I get vaccinated, the others are 100% sure I'm not infecting them?
    Government Response - No

So to summarise, the Covid19 vaccine...

    Does not give immunity.
    Does not eliminate the virus.
    Does not prevent death.
Does not guarantee you won’t get it.
Does not prevent you from getting it.
Does not stop you passing it on
Does not eliminate the need for travel bans.
Does not eliminate the need for business closures.
Does not eliminate the need for lockdowns.
Does not eliminate the need for masking.

So...what the heck is it actually doing? [emoji2368][emoji2368][emoji2368]

    Now I'm confused."

    bakit?

baka pag nagpabakuna ako ikasama pa

i bet madami ganyan din iniisip

wanna bet mababa ang turn out pag dating nga mga bakuna?

kahit pfizer o moderna or azn

i'm gonna bet mababa ang turnout

Sa bahay namin walang gusto magpa vaccine kasi puro senior. Mag isolate na lang kami. Though I have senior relatives in the US who took the vaccine. Ako naman, flu nga hindi ako nagpapa vaccine e [emoji14] I'm counting on other people getting vaccinated for us to have herd immunity. But if mandated Pfizer na ko

Looks like the expectation is for the CHINA WUHAN VIRUS to disappear the way the Spanish Flu did.

Hopefully, this will be the case and no more masks, no more social distancing and totally back to normal.

    Wishful thinking?

Sad to say normal life might not get back anytime soon. Global herd immunity might not arrive in a year or two even with this vaccine present. To many factors hampering global immunity even with the help of the vaccine.

if it is being coursed thru official channels go for it. If not bigay mo sa akin. hehehe
i know of a few pinoys that were vaccinated with moderna and pfizer in the US. very few side effects sa kanila. mostly pain in the injection site and one got a bit dizzy a few hours after the shots but disappeared with rest.

    good luck with herd immunity

the virus is evolving faster than we can vaccinate people

soon the more transmissible variants (UK, Brazil, South Africa etc) will become the globally dominant variants

those variants are also less susceptible to antibodies of previously infected people

meaning the virus may also be less susceptible to antibodies generated by first generation vaccines

so are we supposed to live like this for the rest of our lives?

If Singapore succeeds and allows travel there for vaccination/vacation, that is an option
