Forum Rules (Terms of Use)

Dear Tsikoteer,

Our community is continuously growing. We, the Moderators and Administrators of this forum, appreciate your contributions and hope you can enjoy the wealth of information available in this forum.

The mission of our forum is to learn, contribute and help others with all their automotive needs, queries and issues.

Being one of the largest forums in the Philippines, we have some basic rules in place to guide everyone on what is expected from each member of our community. As with any community, we must organise ourselves and establish a standard of behaviour which will bring optimum results to all members.

By using these Forums, you will agree to the rules (terms of use) below. Violation of these rules will be subject to appropriate action by the tsikot.com management including but not limited to immediate termination of your account.

  1. Strictly NO ADVERTISING and NO FORBIDDEN CONTENT
    1. The aim of the forum is to provide independent, genuine and valuable information to the forums members. Hence, you will not post advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or solicitations, all of which are inappropriate and prohibited in the Forums.
    2. You will not use profanity in our forums against anyone, nor post any language or content that is obscene or sexually oriented.
    3. Strictly no sex related content.
    4. You will not use these forums to violate any laws nor to discuss illegal activities.
  2. Members Privacy
    1. You will respect other people's right to personal privacy. You will not post any other person's identifying information (including their contact information, and any other relevant information) within the forum but your own.
    2. You will not to impersonate any person or entity or manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any posting, nor collect or store personal data about other users.
  3. Posting
    1. Your posts MUST be legible in good English, Tagalog or Cebuano.
    2. Thread titles should be meaningful and concise.
    3. Thread titles should already give a hint on what the subject is about. We would all like to get into the meat of the discussion and not mess around with titles such as "Alam niyo ba....", "Saan ang...".
    4. SMS shorcuts and randomly alphabetized characters are strictly not allowed. Make sure you use clear and transparent writting. The use of webcuts, however, are acceptable.
    5. You have the responsibility to ensure that all your posts contribute to the welfare and good of the community.
    6. You are expected to post in the proper forum category.
    7. Each section of tsikot.com has a description which will be your basis on where to post your threads. If the thread you are posting does not belong to any particular category, you will post the said thread in the miscellaneous sub-forum.
    8. You will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack anyone.
    9. You will not post messages that are clearly outside of the stated topic.
    10. If you feel that you're already discussing something else, by all means create a separate thread for that new topic.
    11. You are not to post repeated irrelevant messages or copies of identical messages.
    12. Cars and Parts buying and selling must be posted in the classifieds section of the platform.
  4. Search first. Make sure your topic is not existent.
    1. Take some time to familiarize yourself with the forum search feature.
    2. You are expected to use the search function before creating a new thread. Find out if the topic you are searching for is not yet available in the forum.
  5. Governance
    1. You will respect the moderators and administrators of the forums at all times.
    2. You will, if asked by a representative of the Forums, cease posting any content, and/or links to content.
    3. Multiple accounts for the same person will not be tolerated.
