Side track ko lang sir. Natawa/natuwa(hindi sa pandemic) teachers and some parents, set up ng module at online classes now. Before, hindi maiiwasang may mga pakialamirang parents, when it comes to school style of teaching and learning. Sabi nga ng ibang teachers, its your time to shine momsies. Hehehe!

there's that fear that future AI/robots are a threat to humanity. but actually humanity is already like a "machine" that CANNOT BE CONTROLLED, a machine that's headed for armageddon

a lot of our problems are caused by overpopulation (result of our biological programming). so maybe what we need is an ozymandias type character (watchmen)

I can't believe that I somehow agree with kags haha

sa school ng kids ko when things normalize na, they plan to have a "blended" approach like part online (3 days) and part face-to-face (2 days). but of course, it will be offered as an option lang naman to those who are capable to do it, at least may ganung option. kasi kahit nuon pa naman, may home schooling program naman sila, especially offered sa mga PWD kids, na parang ganun din ang approach kaya hindi din sila nahirapan mag adjust nitong nag online schooling na.

malaking tulong din sa kids ko na maging independent nung mag online school sila. my 7 y/o kid do not need or minimal supervision na. they started last July and after 2-3 weeks lang eh well adjusted na sya. his morning starts with visiting their website, download the modules and other materials then print it. then online discussion 1-2 hrs. then he will answer his printed IW (individual work) and seatworks. he will scan it then upload it on their site. the only time na mag usap sila ng wife ko eh is after school na nila, to discuss kung may needs or something na nde sya maintindihan - just like what they've been doing during the normal school days. my 16 y/o teenager, halos zero supervision na. lalapit lang sa amin yun pag nagugutom na sya, growing kid eh hehe.

but of course, this is not applicable to all. duon lang sa capable, but then at least give us this option.

ung normal socializing -- teenagers going out with friends punta sa mall, manood ng sine, attend parties, concert... stuff young people do... bawal

May pros and cons lahat. Some may find it beneficial na mag online schooling, especially yung mga may kaya. Some may see it as an extra burden in their life and may affect their productivity.

For college studies, depende yan sa course. If heavy on laboratory and hands on subjects, hindi pwede home schooling.

as what I've said, not applicable sa lahat. at least bigyan lang ng option ang school na they can offer online, face-to-face, or blended. also, when things normalized na ha, meaning kung may vaccine and we can live with virus na na parang ordinary flu na lang sya.

    so ano mangyayari?

lahat ng bata di pwede lumabas hanggang mag 21st birthday?

doon lang sila maka experience ng interaction with people other than their siblings and parents?

    how awkward is that?

21 years old wala pa first kiss

Yes, it has an effect na on my 20 years old daughter. I even gave her my shopee account and told her order lang sya ng any need nya sa mall at ako magbabayad. [emoji23]

I'm thinking of somewhere we can go with the kids na hindi na kailangan bumaba ng sasakyan.

I share same sentiments with you my child is getting anxious, easily gets angry might be the lockdown effect. Any suggestion on where to go in a not so crowded place but we just stay within the car area on sight limit. You just cannot lockdown a child at home I can slowly see the effect now.

Mag fun run nalang kayo, go to somewhere outside the metro, have lunch at one of the restos in gas stations along the expressways, then uwi na.
