Uncooperative contacts of Filipino with new COVID-19 variant may face sanctions ? DOH | Philstar.com
The reason why even with effective contact tracers the virus will still spread in our country.
We have to use different means to instill cooperation with the masses.
New York Congressman Who Got Vaccine Diagnosed With CovidDemocratic Representative Adriano Espaillat of New York said he tested positive for Covid-19 after receiving the second dose of a vaccine, and is isolating at home.
“I received the second dose of the #COVID19vaccine last week and understand the affects take time,” Espaillat said on Twitter Thursday. “I have continued to be tested regularly, wear my mask and follow the recommended guidelines.”
Espaillat tested positive on Wednesday evening and is “feeling well and currently not experiencing any symptoms,” he said in an emailed statement. The lawmaker, whose 13th Congressional District includes Harlem, Washington Heights and northwest Bronx, said he received the first dose of the vaccine made by Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE last month.
Pretend it didn't happen – expert advice on how to behave after receiving a single dose of any of the Covid-19 vaccines.
The cases are already beginning to emerge.
When 85-year-old Colin Horseman was admitted to Doncaster Royal Infirmary in late December, it was for a suspected kidney infection. But not long afterwards he caught Covid-19 – at the time, roughly one in four people in hospital with the virus had acquired it there. He developed severe symptoms and was eventually put on a ventilator. A few days later, he died.
At first glance, Horseman's situation may seem fairly typical, though no less tragic for it. After all, at least 84,767 people have now succumbed to the disease in the UK alone at the time of writing. But, as his son recently explained in a local newspaper, less than three weeks earlier he had been among the first people in the world to receive the initial dose of a Covid-19 vaccine – the Pfizer-BioNTech version. He was due to receive the second dose two days prior to his death.

hindi deflector shield ang vaccine
kung mahina ka, without vaccine, you end up in the hospital
kung mahina ka, with vaccine, mild lang di ka maospital

Sinovac or pfizer?
if i were to be vaccinated now and was given the option to choose between sinovac and pfizer, i’d choose sinovac.
Here’s why:
- sinovac has 100% efficacy rate for severe cases which means that i’m practically immune from getting severe covid-19 symptoms. It is also 78% effective against mild to moderate symptoms.
- sinovac had more than 13,000 participants in its clinical trials if i’m not mistaken, pfizer had 3,400.
- the pfizer vaccine has 95% effectiveness rate at protecting an infected person from developing mild to moderate covid-19 symptoms only. As for severe symptoms, they simply mentioned that the vaccine is “amply effective” to prevent severe illness.
- however, during pfizer’s phase iii clinical trials, only 1 out of 10 severe cases was vaccinated. One.
- even pfizer’s 95% effectiveness rate is being disputed because only 170 participants in their phase iii clinical trials—out of 3,410–were pcr-confirmed covid-19 cases. This means that there’s a high chance that the remaining 3,240 are not even covid-19 cases. This will reduce pfizer’s efficacy rate to just 19%.
- sinovac clinical trials in brazil were all medical workers with a very high infection risk.
- furthermore, pfizer is yet to provide more raw data for peer review.
- also, sinovac has no reported critical side effects so far. The same thing cannot be said about pfizer.

Some 23 people in Norway were reported dead shortly after receiving their Pfizer/BioNTech jab, with the WHO making clear its intent to follow the investigation of these deaths closely.
The results of autopsies conducted on 13 of the deceased suggest that "common side effects may have contributed to severe reactions in frail, elderly people," Bloomberg claims, citing the Norwegian Medicines Agency.
"For those with the most severe frailty, even relatively mild vaccine side effects can have serious consequences," the Norwegian Institute of Public Health said. "For those who have a very short remaining life span anyway, the benefit of the vaccine may be marginal or irrelevant."
Denmark started its mass vaccination with the Pfizer vaccine on 27 December – retirement home residents and medical staff in Oslo were the first recipients.

Chinese Experts Urge for Halt in Use of mRNA Vaccines Following Deaths in Norway, Report Says
So far, all fatal cases involving the vaccination have involved people over 80 who were weak, government-owned broadcaster NRK reports.
Meanwhile, 21 cases of severe allergic reactions were reported by authorities in the United States between 14-23 December after about 1.9 million initial doses of the vaccine developed by Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE were administered.
What do the Sinovac coronavirus vaccine efficacy results mean? | South China Morning Post
Sinovac and the Butantan Institute said CoronaVac was found to be 100 per cent effective in preventing severe cases of Covid-19 because no recipients became seriously sick. While the trial has not amassed enough cases for the figure to be statistically significant, some scientists said that was still encouraging. So far all the vaccines available – the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Oxford-AstraZeneca ones – are considered to be highly effective in protecting against severe cases.
Since the full details of the data have not been released, it would be hard to assess that explanation. But scientists said according to the study design, which counts all cases with at least one symptom and a positive PCR test, 50.4 per cent was the efficacy rate of the vaccine. This suggests that CoronaVac is more effective in preventing cases that need treatment than in stopping those that do not require medication.
useless usap which vaccine what brand bla bla bla
