Interested ako sa Fleetguard for my 4m40 and 4ja1 as I have ones experienced problems in the oil filter quality (blocked), good thing my engine didn't konk out so I'm in the hunt for a good oil filter...

Sorry I missed this dvldoc gave the address the directions are if you are coming from former nestle plant go straight hemady turn left on 8th st. Look for house no (yup house no - no signages or anything)

1kzte you can use Baldwin B2, Fleetguard LF3314, LF3313, LF55A1, LF689 (The synthetic media version LF3685.

The 4JG2 will use the same as the 4JA1 I posted earlier.

The LF3487 doesn't fit the Navara (Thai built one at least). A friend tried fitting one in and it wouldn't. Kinda disappointed, the thing was bigger and heavier than stock and looked to be more heavy duty. LF3400 is much smaller in comparison.

Some of the stock from the dealer in Caloocan were old, produced 2007. Quite a few had rust on the bottom end, have to look out for that. And yeah, they do try to sell the fakes along with the originals.

Wix makes Wix and Napa, Champion Labs makes Bosch oil filters. Wix are far better than Bosch. Purolator is it's own separate brand. I actually posted all the filter makes earlier in this thread. Wix is Closer to Baldwin Quality because they are heavy duty oil filters. Bosch are standard filters.

Some pics of my remote bypass dual oil filter set up.
Consist of dual remote base

Oil filter adapter for adding oil pressure and oil temp gauges, senders are in place

Remote oil drain to check oil samples from time to time without crawling under the van

AN fittings installed

I added grip tape to my filters to make changing them easier, shouldn't need a bulky oil filter wrench.

I am going to go with 1/2 hydraulic hose just because I can get it cheap from surplus
Spin on oil filter adapter that goes where the stock oil filter use to.

And a handful of old hard drive magnets (super super strong) I want to catch everything

Also pictured is my remote transmission oil filter. Gives me about 50 times better filtration over the stock tranny metal mess strainer.

Of course this system is a bit extreme but I wanted to play around with it anyways.

You can also go with a remote mount filter using one of these spin on adapters especially if you have a turbo diesel with a little baby filter like the D4D engines and Navara pick-ups. You can add a much larger filter for better flow and filtration and much longer oil change intervals.

I plan on changing my primary filter at 15000klm and secondary at 30000klm oil at 20000klm.

First filter cleans down to 5 microns second which is the Fleetguard Stratopore media cleans down to 2 microns so it will basically never see any particles over 10 microns due to the first filter.

Yeah it's over kill but since I am not in to Rims and bling best to spend on something that will make your ride last longer and reduce maintenance cost. I ended up with 4 extra universal spin on adapters that fit just about any vehicle probably sell them next year when I am actually back there.







All together a set up like this for the dual bypass system cost me about 160USD cause I shop around. Just need to add my teflon tape and tighten everything down.

First time in a long time I took a peek into the diesel Innova's engine bay, I noticed there's a plunger on top of the fuel filter. That must mean there should be a fuel separator there instead of a fuel filter right? Great work Toyota. Not helping the D4d's reputation there.

No country of origin is FAKE period. That filter does have 6 holes though but the crappy construction of that one just by looking down the center tube would be enough to tell me that.

These places don't have any QA on these filters they just get them where ever.

Never buy a fake because it can wreck your engine, bypass valve might not function, filter could burst, threads can be easily stripped and get stuck on your vehicles, filter media can collapse, get holes, anti drain back valve can leak or not work properly and leave you with dry start up causing tons of engine damage. Don't cheap out and get one you know is not real. This goes for the elcheapo china filters as well.
