i'd take the Fram anytime if the choice would be between Fram and fake fleetguard. Frams painted grip is ***y and more colorful too..hehe

The Baldwin dealer should have these.

    The BD28 will also work.

You don't have to use the exact same filter as stock one slightly bigger or smaller has zero effect.

The closest Fleetguard probably to big if you are having clearance issues.
    LF3564
Largest OD 106 mm (4.173 in)
Overall Height 136 mm (5.354 in)
    Thread Size M26 X 1.5-6H INT

You can clearly see the Baldwin filter is much better made then the ryco, There rivets in the end cap and few holes are a good indication of a lower quaility filter.

You would have to measure the stock filter or what you have now to see if you have space, you never know it could be larger than these.

There are no oil filter relocation kits for the M26 thread. It's a very rare thread due to it's size. It's that big because you guys run a combo/bypass filter system on your vehicle.
Me and my sleepy brain - thanks for the heads up!!!! Now to make some phone calls

As a guide to fellow tsikoteers, those who had bought Baldwin & Fleetguard oil filters here in the philippines. Can you please post where you bought them and their respective addresses and contact nos. This thread would be pointless if people like me interested in buying better oil filtration can't find it, or if found be misled into buying fakes. A recurring and updating of trusted dealers will be highly appreciated. also prices of different part nos. will be of great help to those reading this thread.

Also dvldoc i'd like to clarify this list of part number for the 4m40 engine

    Fleetguard LF3918
    Baldwin BD7028 & BD28

Is the design of the above filters the same as the OEM filter, which you say has a unique design ("Dual By-pass" I think you said?) But the material used in filtering is of higher standard? Correct me if I'm wrong? Thanks

Every little bit helps, You can also toss on on the Trans pan and oil pan. You can't beat free or super cheap. Should be plenty of dead hard drive you can get your hands on.
This is indeed nice and super cheap!

Interesting thread. We use Donaldson and fleetguard filters on our CAT generator sets. Cheaper than CAT OEM filters.

Did not know they can also be used for our rides. Anyone know the oil filter model number for Avanza 1.5?

For Toyotas I like going slightly bigger these are just a 1 inches longer. Cross with a FRAM PH3614

    Fleetguard LF3335
Largest OD 76.81 mm (3.024 in)
Overall Height 88.65 mm (3.49 in)
    Thread Size 3/4-16 UNF-2B

    Baldwin BT223
    Thread: 3/4-16
    O.D.: 2 29/32 (73.8)
    Length: 3 1/2 (88.9)

    Donaldson 550335
    Thread Size: 3/4-16
    Length: 3.4" (86 mm)
    Outer Diameter: 3" (76 mm)

    STOCK Toyota
    Crosses as FRAM PH4967

Fleetguard LF3614 is the cross but I would not use because it does not have a anti drain back valve or bypass valve.

    Baldwin b33
    Thread: 3/4-16
    O.D.: 2 11/16 (68.3)
    Length: 3 (76.2)

    Donaldson 502024
    Thread Size: 3/4-16
    Length: 2.56" (65 mm)
    Outer Diameter: 2.68" (68 mm)

I would go with the bigger filter. And it will fit with no issues.

These will fit basically all Toyota 4cly and 6cly vehicles except ones with 1kzte, TD42, Engines. 100% Will fit 1999 and UP 4cly and 6cly engines.

Be sure to share where and how much you payed for yours.

They Do.. Please check the following sites for the cross-reference.
Just be careful with indirect crosses as size and thread size matters, always double check and compare the width, diameter, ADBV, PSI setting of bypass valve, oil seal diameter..

This covers most old school turbo diesels and some of the new ones. Covers Air, fuel and oil filters. Enjoy

Note there are alternative filters you can run vs what is stated that fit and have the same or very close bypass valve pressure.
