i'm beginning to envy you guys you can put a better oil filter and oil on your rides but my innova was declined by casa to even bring my own oil due to warranty voiding it...

any updates on Foton vehicles with Cummings and FG filters?
Are the dealers/casa will sell it and what will be the size of oil filter on those Foton with cumming's engine?
Cause I don't see any new pick up on their showroom aside from Blizzard pick-up.

That is such a scam these dealerships run, No other country I know of does this. You should ask to see that in writing about the oil voiding your warranty. It's basically a form of blackmale.

Exactly. It's something i noticed with Toyota and they'll scare you by saying that your warranty would be void. When i used to go to Nissan for servicing before, they never had any qualms about me bringing in my own oil and parts. I just stuck to the OEM oil filter while the car was under warranty and they even did some warranty repairs a few months after my warranty lapsed. With my Corolla now, after the 10,000kms service, i'm going to be using my own oils and filters already.

most of the toyota dealerships doesnt allow bring of own oil/filter. while most of mitsubishi dealerships do allow.

The provincial dealers usually do not stock LF3564 since it's not a fast moving item. Order basis lang with downpayment. The dealer here in CDO took 4 days to get my order. The salesman couldn't even believe that I will be using the filter for a Strada. They usually sell the filters for heavy equipment & big trucks. Hehe.

yeah, they even asked me from company I was and I just said its for personal use and from the tone they are surprised indeed. They get it from Manila pa nga.

..reading between the lines, it's another way of saying

"if we can't capitalize & profit from you, we'll VOID your warranty!"

well i can argue that i can bring my own oil on PMS at toyota casa but the recommended API rating on the manual is CF, where the Delo 400 is CI-4+ on this issue of recommended rating they might raise it when claiming engine warranty,,, tiis tiis na lang muna >9k a year naman sa estimate ko maging mileage reading of our innova.
Sana may makagawa dito ng remote bypass kit ng around 3,000 petot lang para swak sa panlasa ng pinoy hehehe...

I just want to share my newly installed LUBERFINER spin on OIL FILTER...

I just installed it on my ISUZU DMAX 4jh1 / 4JJ1-tc engines .. a perfect fit than the VIC 527, VIC 207 filters i normally use before reading this thread..

And it also fits Nissan NAVARA yd25.
