Fleetguard filters are sold by W&L trading - the BD28 version is 540 ea
W&L trading - 7221880 they are also SKF bearings distributors

I will take pictures of the Baldwin B2 and Fleetguard filters when I have the time

What I can't find are high quality air filters. Volmax and W&L have the common filters only.

Wow! 540? thats really cheap....we get the OEM for 1k++...I think I'd be using that on my next oil change...the only question now is that if the filter being sold here is authentic...

Those are the real deal, Those B2 filters fit a lot of applications as well. How much was the B2 Baldwin filter, and how was there stock, few or a lot? Probably one of the few places your going to find those in the Philippines.

Theses are cellulose media filters by they are treated so not just your basic paper oil filters and they hold about 4 to 5 times more dirt before becoming clogged vs OEM or things like VIC or Union.

Fleetguards tend to be a bit better but not by much but just enough they don't meet all of Cummins standards for there filters so you know your getting a good filter with either of these.

The B2 is rated at 50% efficiency at 12 micron and at 30 microns it's 98.7% efficiency at removing contaminates.

Compare that to a VIC, which is 71% efficient at 30 microns and only 39% efficient at 20 microns which is pathetic and only 4% efficient at 10 microns.

Big difference in using a quality filter vs a cheap filter, Sure you might save a few pesos but your going to contribute to engine wear.

This thread is a good thread about oil filter in general as you can already see, as long as it about oil filters it's basically on topic. BTW the 4M40 filter is a full flow filter plus bypass element. Really good filtration guess it must dirty the oil pretty good to need that in stock filter. Almost no other vehicles have this stock.

Obviously I don't mind helping anyone with filter questions and how to set up a bypass system. Hell I got over 500 Fleetguard, Baldwin, and Wix filters just hanging out at the house. Kind of my hobby.

The b2 was 970 bucks - still not bad at all :D
I do think they still have some on stock just don't know how much. They also have fuel filters. I use the B2 for the 300 & 200TDI rover engines.

When you go to Volmax the employees and employer use baldwin shirts

from what I have seen on the yellow pages fleetguard has around 3 major dealers/distributors the other 2 are south of the metro.

Sir locoroco777 I see the pictures. I think you have to be signed in to see it

I think the best maintenance for a vehicle is to make sure you have good quality filters - oil, fuel and air and your engine would go a long long way

Wil fite all 2.5TD, Rangers/Everest/Mazda Freidee/Ford Feda basically all WLT 2.5 turbo diesel engines. Or any vehicle that takes a VIC 209 or Union C-221 also VIC-115 and Union C-151.

    Also fits all

    D22 TD27 2.7L 3/97-01

    HILUX 2.4D, HIACE2.5D 96-, POWERVAN 2.4 97

    Ford sports Track

    Ford V-8's till 2005

B163, B34, LF3604 (Not pictured because I don't feel like moving to big boxes of filters to get to them)sorry.

Fits Navara YD25DDTi will also work on all the ones for the Row with LF551A,LF3314,LF3487, LF689

Fortuner, Hilux, Innova, D4D and 2.7 will fit these.

I pretty much databased all the high end filters with all the cars there and stocked up on them for a hobby gig when I retire from the Navy, Get bored with the water injection sometimes. lol.

Here is my bypass filter set up minus the filter adapter which I am still waiting on but this is what it looks like. Except i am not using the barbed fittings but Push lock fittings with 8AN ends. I don't care for barbs and hose clamps that much.

This is my Bypass system set up. I am using a Full flow Luberfiner imperial XL full sythetic media filter. With a Fleetguard LF3947 (stratopore) full sythetic 5 lay media (best filter money can buy). Again you can't go to your local parts store for these filters.

    Specs
    The LFP780XL is a 5 micron * 50% and a 20 micron * 98.67% filters 2 microns absolute at 36%.

The LF3947 30 Micron at 99% and a 10 Micron at 85% efficient 5 microns 78% efficient on the first pass. 2 microns absolute.

I was going to use the LF3487 which is the sythetic media as well but the microglass which is the same thing as Amsiol, The Statapore has 5 different layers. You can also see the size difference these are about 7 inches tall. And will be good for 40000KLM oil changes with changing the full flow every 20000klm and the Bypass at 40000KLM.

I also am adding a Isspro oil pressure gauge and Nordskog oil temp gauge to keep a eye on everything using a sandwich adapter on the bypass filter.

You can see the Amsoil and the Fleetguard microglass media is basically the same. Both the filters I am using exceed the Amsoil in filtration ability but not by much.

    Interesting video on bypass systems.

I´m not against this dual filter but its not logical to use it with your vans without crankcase modification to raise the ratio of oil to engine displacement.
