i'd take the Fram anytime if the choice would be between Fram and fake fleetguard. Frams painted grip is ***y and more colorful too..hehe

The specs on your filter are this.

    Thread: M26 x 1.5
    O.D.: 3 17/32 (89.7)
    Length: 4 15/16 (125.4)
    17psi bypass valve

The Baldwin dealer should have these.

    The BD28 will also work.
    Thread: M26 x 1.5

You don't have to use the exact same filter as stock one slightly bigger or smaller has zero effect.

The closest Fleetguard probably to big if you are having clearance issues.
    LF3564
Largest OD 106 mm (4.173 in)
Overall Height 136 mm (5.354 in)
    Thread Size M26 X 1.5-6H INT

You can clearly see the Baldwin filter is much better made then the ryco, There rivets in the end cap and few holes are a good indication of a lower quaility filter.

You would have to measure the stock filter or what you have now to see if you have space, you never know it could be larger than these.

There are no oil filter relocation kits for the M26 thread. It's a very rare thread due to it's size. It's that big because you guys run a combo/bypass filter system on your vehicle.
Me and my sleepy brain - thanks for the heads up!!!! Now to make some phone calls

As a guide to fellow tsikoteers, those who had bought Baldwin & Fleetguard oil filters here in the philippines. Can you please post where you bought them and their respective addresses and contact nos. This thread would be pointless if people like me interested in buying better oil filtration can't find it, or if found be misled into buying fakes. A recurring and updating of trusted dealers will be highly appreciated. also prices of different part nos. will be of great help to those reading this thread.

Also dvldoc i'd like to clarify this list of part number for the 4m40 engine

    Fleetguard LF3918
    Baldwin BD7028 & BD28

Is the design of the above filters the same as the OEM filter, which you say has a unique design ("Dual By-pass" I think you said?) But the material used in filtering is of higher standard? Correct me if I'm wrong? Thanks

Every little bit helps, You can also toss on on the Trans pan and oil pan. You can't beat free or super cheap. Should be plenty of dead hard drive you can get your hands on.
This is indeed nice and super cheap!
