NEWS ALERT: Manila City Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso has ordered the temporary closure of Ospital ng Sampaloc after five hospital staffers tested positive for COVID-19.

Disinfection operations will immediately be conducted at the hospital.

As of posting, the Mayor said doctors, nurses and administrative staffers of the hospital are now under quarantine.

"There's significant transmission by people not showing symptoms," Stephen Morse, an epidemiologist at Columbia University, told Business Insider.
