shadow this is not advice ha

doctors don't like patients who self medicate

ang sakin lang itong carbocisteine and acetylcysteine have very little or almost no side effects kaya i'll take the risk

but i won't take that drug being endorsed by Trump -- ung anti malaria drug chloroquine

yan may side effects talaga yan
Uls, meron na circular DOH for off label use of antiviral. Use at your own risk.

i'm wondering which is more effective for hand washing... soap or dishwashing liquid? prior to the lockdown i purchased this huge 2L jug of dishwashing concentrate

it seems the virus has this lipid layer that's broken down by soap. dishwashing liquid works much better against oils so maybe it's better than soap?

Severe din kasi side effect ng chloroquine, baka di kayanin ng older patients.
You feel like your dying when you use quinine as a medication.
High fever, swollen limbs, etc, although 3-4 days ang effect.
Pero may counter sa side effects, a form of injectable paracetamol, only known to doctors working in high risk malaria areas, but not in the Philippines.

because its use might very well cause your death.
you die because of the side-effect of the drug, and not because of the virus.

if the doctor has to use a potentially fatal drug, or one with undesireable side-effects, one has to have a good reason for gambling on its use.
mild or moderate illness, which may stand a reasonably good chance of recovery, may not be good enough a reason.

because they are aware of the potential undesireable side-effects.
they will probably use it, when they feel the potential benefit outweighs the potential detriment.

rule number one of doctors: "first, do no harm".

ito nabasa ko sa international forum taga iran

So guys I've been released from the hospital with no meds. I went there two nights ago with severe shortness of breath as my only symptom. I developed a mild fever(38.2C)and excruciating body aches and fatigue very rapidly. I can't emphasize just how bad the fatigue was, I was unabld to move in my own bed! I didn't sleep at all that first night. They gave me fluids, oxygen, some NSAID I had never heard of and seperated me in a special wing. The test came back positive and so they wanted to start me on that malaria medication but by the time the tests came back I was feeling somewhat better so I refused. At my own request they gave me three shots of 500 mg Vitamin c every six hours. By the next day I was up and about and off oxygen and demanded to be released. They kept me one more night for observation but since they needed the beds they released me with an order of house quarantine. I live alone so it's okay, I order everything from the supermarket and they drop it at my door and I pay them with an app. Of my initial symptoms only a slight shortness of breath and the occasional cough remains. The shortness of breath is significantly worse at nights, but still manageable. I'm only taking one gram of vitamin c and 600 mg of NAC as recommended by the doctor. I'm supposed to go back if my symptoms get worse or my condition deteriorates.

The hospital was overflooded with patients and it was quite scary tbh. Part of the reason I demanded to be released, I was worried about cathing something extra or more viral load.

This was pretty horrible stuff guys so be careful, I had a flu late in the summer last year and it wasn't nearly as bad as this one. If felt like absolute exhaustion, weakness..

Oh the doctor also gave me some activated charcoal for some reason, he said therr may be oppurtunistic bacteria in my gut being overactive and causing some of the fatigue. It didn't make a difference tho.

    Stay healthy.

I'm in Iran. It's absolute chaos in the hospitals here a lot of peope are coming with moderate symptoms to get tested which isn't very smart in my opinion. I heard a lot of nasty, nerve wrecking dry cough from other patients. I'm glad I haven't developed that much coughing as of yet. I hope I don't. I head a lot of screaming from people who had lost their loved ones too, real sad stuff. Every hour or so you'd hear a bunch of doctors and nurses running to or from one olace to another.

I hope it eas the vitamin c. Another tjing about this illness is how fast it progressed and then went away. For example in the span of one day I lost my voice, then it came back, I had body aches, then it went away, I had stuffy nose, then it got better... It seemd to come and go in waves more than a steady stream.

And it's a freaking test kit!

So parang prenanacy test na lang. They're ramping production and plan to export 300k/week
