Yes, I myself and probably majority of the doctors back then believes that this is just a seasonal flu and will just go away come summer season but we are all wrong very wrong.

That's the Same problem staring down at malaysia right now. Infected patients aren't forthright about their travel history too.

To compound the anxiety in kuala lumpur, there was a huge tabligh islamic prayer meeting held last feb 27 to mar 1 w/c drew a massive crowd of 16,000 faithfuls (including 1500 foriegners - & yes there were several pinoys in attendance). A number of cases hit w/ the plague virus have been confirmed to have gone to that event so experts are expecting a jump in hospital admissions soon.

Likewise, local authorities have been asking muslim officials here of the whereabouts of the pinoys who attended the said event. I'm not sure how successful the doh has been in that particular mission of theirs because a lot of those attendees have already gone back to maguindanao.
