Vietnam is a COMMUNIST country... One party system like China.

Taiwan na experience nila yung SARS kaya alam na nila anong gagawin. Same with HK and Macau.

because Taiwan isn't a member of WHO, they were left on their own to deal with the virus

they didn't have to follow WHO's guidance which turned out to be a good thing

dunno but we're not doing worse than indonesia

naalala ko while other countries are reporting cases wala cases ang indonesia

their gov't was very complacent -- they thought because they're located at the equator the virus couldn't thrive in their country

yun pala kumakalat na but they're not testing

was listening to the interview of Igan from someone in NEDA kanina, she mentioned that so far there is enough money for us, the 200B is good for two months. not sure kung ano pinag sasabi ni Dee Gong na wala na pera. and may nabanggit na 500B grant yata, nde ko gano naintindihan 'cause I'm working hehe, na pwede pa gamitin. also, yung budget sa mga ibang projects for build3x eh pwede duon muna kunin nag pera. ano yan kinukundisyon isip ng mga tao at wala na daw pera, tapos mag loan or ipag bili na tayo sa China?

When you compare response to a crisis, you still take into consideration the countries own inherent limitations and peculiarities. Therefore, the response should take into considerations those matters and the leaders are expected to know how the populace would react.

It is not an excuse that we have a different ideology or form of government in order to be effective in the response. That is just making excuses. If the people see positive result from the actions of the state, you don't have to tell them to stfu. The real critics (not those politically biased) would just fade away and accept that the actions produced the desired results.

Again, response is commensurate to the peculiarities of the country. The leaders of those countries ought to know how best to handle the people. How their leaders responded and steered their country in solving the problem depends still on the capabilities of that leader to assess the situation, formulate the best possible solution, implement and evaluate.

The presidential late night talk show would be comparable to other leaders and their speech. Mass testing is also something many asked but we are too late to consider and prepare for. These things

What the post say is about leadership and governance, those are not based on forms of government. Those are traits which must emanate from the leader himself/herself.

My own opinion lang naman. I might be wrong.

sana may data -- number of tests per 1 million people

    iba iba kasi ang population

like indonesia they only did 11k tests for a population of 264,000,000

PH 22k tests for a population of 110,000,000

we're undertesting but indonesia is undertesting talaga

    Singapore 65k tests for a population of 5.7 million... that's a lot
