November 16th, 2004 10:17 AM #132guys, anyone of you have a rear spoiler on the tailgate of your sedona? Yung sa akin, naging dull ang upper portion. I noticed that when I got the opportunity to see the car from above. I haven't tried to apply car wax. My car is still under the 3 year warranty. Think this can be claimed under warranty?

November 16th, 2004 05:38 PM #135Sir Lensio,
I am interested sa front and rear coil spring damper.
Saka kung meron trip computer, yung sa akin kasi digital clock lang. And... mukhang maganda yung front grille ng 2005 carnival II, yung korean version. Do you think you can find that? If so, please email me at rtscom*hotmail.com. Thanks.

chokers & altec: could the reason for the discoloration be that the spoiler is plastic and that the body/roof panels are metal? if that is so, repainting with custom mixed paint might be the solution. i think getting the kia color code wont help because there would be variance from the original caused by sun exposure.
lensio: looks like the floodgates have opened.like iq0, i am interested in the dampers too. i hope we carnival/sedona thread guys have not scared you off with the overwhelming interest with which we responded to your post.

Hi guys,
Actually I'm quiet overwhelm with your responses. Before I commit to anything I would first to let you see what I am talking about. I mean, let you see first the items I mentioned in my previous post. Right now, I am still thinking on how to show them to you guys. I am planning to creat a website dedicated to Kia Carnival Lovers. I had a lot of information in my hard drive regarding upgrades, modifications, DIY stuffs and etc. What do you think mga p're..
Sa tingin ko ang pinaka worthed na upgrade ko ay yong strut bar and coils pring damper. Last Septemper when I had my vacation I brought these items and immediately installed it. The first thing I noticed was I can corner confidently at 60Kph without the car swaying. Also, kahit na ibalik ko ang steering wheel abruptly, no swaying talaga. The only problem if you tried to turn hard, the rearwheel opposite to your turning the wheel had a tendency to lift. Kasi dapa na yong kabila. But, yes, it was corrected by the coil spring damper. From Manila to Bicol (where I come from), sa bitukang manok (Camarines norte), di makahabol you Pajero at Patrol pagdating sa cornering, kasi we were turning at high speed.
Chokers & altec, in Korea you can by a can spray specially made for specific car color (my sedona is silky biege so I bought a lot of this spray can. The code can be found on the sticker with barcode on it (only for gray market). As for the plastic cladding, you should not paint directly on it. Here they put first a kind of putty then sanding it with a very fine grit. Then they apply the paint.

hello lensio, nice to hear from you right away. please go ahead with your plan to put up that website. i think all of us in this thread will be highly anticipating that.
i am lucky that my dealer gave me the strut bar gratis. bagay na bagay dito sa baguio but the body roll still bothers me. that's why i think the dampers would be good.
just googled this singapore site awhile ago:
http://www.vtechware.com/carnival.htm
do they have similar products in korea?
