    Hello Guys,

May solution na sa "gunk" accumulation sa intake manifold. Its called an air/oil separator. Basically what it does is to separate the vaporized oil from the pcv and drain it back to the crank case. Meanwhile, the diesel and water fumes are sent to the intake manifold before the turbo (after the air filter).

There are many numerous suppliers in the US for tubodiesel engines. There are also DIY procedures in making a home brew separator. So far the best separator is a cyclone type coupled with a particulate filter.

The cyclone separator has no moving parts and separates the oil via centrifuge. Oil being heavier that gas sticks to the wall of the separator and drips down to the bottom where it is channeled back to the crankcase.

The benefits for the engine is the there will be no "gunk" accumulation, less oil consumption, closed circuit PCV and good for the environment. No accumulation means more breathing capability for the engine.

Just search for "diesel oil/air separator" in your browser and presto a ton of websites explaining the subject matter will appear.

So far Walker air/sep, temprite have bolt on solutions for detroit diesels. It would be also nice if we can design a localize version.

Check it out guys and lets put our heads together to make one here locally.

    tnx

    rodski

    Hi folks,

I'm new to the tsikot forums, I was wondering if any of you carnival/sedona owners would know if the front bumper of the latest sedona (2003-2004) would be compatible with my Carnival 2000 model without major modifications.
My Carnival needs a new bumper, hood, headlamps (front-cut) and I was thinking of putting new parts from the later sedona models. Any help, comments are appreciated.

    hello bers,

i am an owner of a 2001 carnival. welcome to the tsikot forums. i've also thought of that too.(whether the sedona's bumpers would fit the carnival) if youd only fit the sedona's bumper to the carnival i think it won't .

but if you'd include the hood & the headlamps. there would be a possibility.
