Hey don't get me wrong, the CRDi is a very good engine pero for its price difference I just don't buy the logic of getting one, unless of course you have high mileage which I don't...
I agree with you. As I have posted in other threads before, in some countries, diesel is now more expensive than gasoline. Why? Due to rapid industrialization of China and India, demand for diesel is higher than gasoline in the world market and due to higher demand diesel is now is more expensive than gas. Industries use diesel to run their equipment like generators, vehicles, powerplants, etc.. I remember the TV Patrol news yesterday, the local oil companies need to recover higher cost in diesel compared with gasoline.

I'm back after two weeks, i missed reading this thread. The typhoon frank hit us so hard its only now that i was able to connect again. The flood water reached as high as ten feet in some places. I looked for higher ground my carens but abot pa rin.The flood water reached the dashboard of my carens. Abot pati computer box.

20 years old na dami pa ring tumatakbo sa kalye?

Well try mo sa kia libis baka makakuha ka pa ng freebies pero same subsidy pa rin. I think the subsidy is a joke to push the buyer to thinking that they got a huge discount. Why don't they remove the maximum subsidy discount from the regular price and the price of the unit will go down and many prospective buyers will buy this wonderful car again.

I just went to hyundai earlier and ask them if they have a price increase. The SC said to that they have no price increase and they dont have a plan of increasing their prices as well. To think of it kia and hyundai are the same. They share the same engine and technology and design. So why do they have a huge gap in price. I think the one that is jacking up ths prices is the Columbian itself. If they got it now at a higher price then hyundai shpuld jack up their price also since they share the same mother company. what do you guys think.

Well mukhang mahaba haba na ang nabasa mo a. Well I think nasa 40k na siguro mileage nun ngayon kasi 8 month old pa lang daw yung unit niya that time e.

you can compare the kia carens to a sedan...with the bonus additional seats that can be also used as luggage / compartment.. panalo sa looks, style and technology..

others may say na mahal ang diesel engines but for the fact na diesel engines are built to last longer than petrol engines... kahit noon pa man na wala pa CRDi mas mahal talaga ang diesel engine.. sa surplus ganun din..

im sorry for saying this pero i think BOBO yan mekaniko mo or kung sa casa man yan BOBO mga nag aadvice sayo....

sa timing belt use CONTITECH brand yung original yan na Made in Germany

    alan99,

the carens is a really good car. i like it for a host of reasons.

other that the interior and exterior aesthetics, i love her leg room, particularly the second row. it is just soooo roomy and comfortable. if i wasn't doing all the driving, i'd like to be able to enjoy a ride at the back for a change!

also, another thing i enjoy about the car is the ease of getting in and out. pang babae daw yung oto. to some maybe pero i'd like to think of her as more of a "CHICK MAGNET"!!! kung may ka-date kang naka mini, hindi maiilang sumakay!!!

she isn't an suv so you really have to drive her differently in my response to concerns to her ground clearance. it's still the same as most sedans anyway.

sure what we have is a watered down version (but so are some of the other car brands/models) but from what i've seen so far, it's all good quality. from the solid "thump" of all the doors to the interior finish.

Hands down mas matipid ang Corolla.

I'll let you know as soon as I have my data.

Hi guys! I've been a long time lurker in this thread kasi this car is one of my choices, as I am planning to buy in the next two weeks or so. Nagsesearch din ako sa mga ibang forums regarding this car, especially the known issues. The Kia Carens owners from the US and Canada have a problem of "pulling to the right" when they are driving. Some CRDi owners from UK and NZ also have the same issue. I am wondering if meron din ito sa mga Carens owners dito. Thanks... http://www.kia-forums.com/kia-carens...ing-right.html
