Set na tayo ng EB..Mahirap kasi hanggang plano na lang yung pagtayo ng club. At least, kung eb na, susunod na yung club kahit na may unofficial club na tayo dito sa tsikot

yup dapat nissan gl kukunin ko but kia quirino ave. gave me a high trade in value for my nissan sentra. and gusto ko talaga power and cabin space ng carens crdi.

after ko mag painstall ng hid 4300K last night i went straight to tagaytay with 3 passengers. the engine performance of carens is awesome. the ride was smooth just like my sentra. i gas up worth of 500 pesos of diesel fuel and to my calculation( not that accurate) my fuel consumption was 13-14 km/l. speed is ranging from 60 kph - 120 kph.

I think it's using fuel at a "high" rate even if it's just idling,
or it uses the same amount of fuel regardless whether it's lightly or heavily loaded.

Using the +- scheme; i can't force it to go to 4th gear unless it has reached the 80 kph mark.
For me, shifting to 4th gear at 80kph is too high. maybe 50-60kph is ideal.
and even if going downhill, you can't force it go to 4th at 50kph. it waits till its 80kph. It's like it is not sensing its load.

I am not sure if they do "retuning" at 5tkm.
mine is only at 1200km yet. I hope they do "Retune" at 5tkm.

I agree with this. I noticed my FC went up when the school year started and I have to sit in traffic a lot. Ang lakas kumain ng fuel. Parang naging 6km/liter na lang.

I also feel na we should be able to shift 4th gear at 50kph.

I already thought of putting the amp under the front seats. The problem is that there is an aircon vent there and I was afraid the sub or the wirings might interfere with the airflow. Besides, it would have been a complicated install if I opted for that.and yes, the sub box has quick release terminals just in case I need the cargo space.

ignorant question: may rca out ba yung stock HU ng LX?

if yes, you placed a long rca cable from the HU to the amp then run flat wires going to the seps & tweets?

which is the better unit the LX 2.0 6MT or the LX 2.0 4AT?

well mostly for City and Hiway drives cguro....
1. how much difference ang FC nila (6MT should be lower right?)?
2. 0-100kph difference (6MT should be faster right?)
3. bakit namamatayan (nag-stall) ang 6MT? as i've driven many MT Diesels before and never pa ata akong namatayan dahil sa nature ng Diesel engines na HighTorque.... or yung CrDi ng Carens ay malakas lang pag naka-apak sa Gas Pedal at gutless kapag low Rev or talagang sobrang sablay lang sa timpla?
4. how is Carens 6MT? does it shift well or prone to mis-shift?
5. how is the clutch, is it Hydraulic light like Corolla/Civic clutches or
parang Sentra heavy clutch dahil Cable / Mechanical type?
6. how is the Footbrake release when ur in a slope?
(scenario cguro when ur parked in Baguio....and going up fm. 1st. gear) is it easy like handbrake or awkward dahil u have to use ur lefthand to release the footbrake?

Hi ParakitoJDM. I got the AT dahil natalo ako sa botohan sa amin hahaha. Coming from a M/T car before, gusto ko sana yung M/T Carens lalo na at 6 speed siya. I test drove the MT inside a village. Hindi naman namatay yung makina, pero baka dahil medyo clutch driver ako sa 1st and 2nd gear. Observation ko is hindi sya same as other diesel engines. Mas parang gas engine siya in terms of timpla at low RPMs. Medyo nagulat nga ako dun sa humps dahil nag downshift ako to 2nd pero parang nahirapan parin engine.

I think mas matipid manual dahil pwede mag short shift. Hindi ko ngayon magawa kahit sa manual mode ng A/T.

Sa hanging naman, tingin ko walang difference between foot and hand brake dahil dinadaan nalang sa bilis ng paa at dami ng gas. hehe. I guess nakakalito lang foot brake para dun sa mga nangdadaya using the hand brake. Yung tipong naka abang na yung paa sa clutch at gas, so pag baba ng handbrake gas na kaagad at hindi na lilipat yung right foot from brake to gas pedal.

Sa mga bumili ng M/T, question naman.... Inisip ko kasi since 6 gears and Carens, malamang close ang ratios nyan tapos diesel pa so ang baba ng red line. Hindi ba shift ng shift?

yes. The JVC stock HU of the LX has front and rear rca outputs.You can use one (front) channel for your components/separates and then use another (rear) channel as your sub channel.

I placed rca cables from JVC HU to the amp, from the amp to the comp/seps and (bridged) sub. I used the JVC HU to drive the stock rear speakers for rear fill. Illustrated:

Ano ba yan 2 price increases in a short period of time. Dapat gawin nalang nilang 1 price increase that is big enough to cover of whatever they are trying to cover instead of gradually increasing it. Pangit tignan sa market yung ganun...

If the price increase is true, then the Carens is no longer a bang for the buck vehicle. The main reason for me in purchasing is its value for money...a lot of car for not a lot of money. Seeing that in less than two months, its price increase of 160k completely wipes out its biggest advantage over its competitors.

I dont know what the folks at Kia are thinking (or are they?) with these unconscionable price increases. Could it be that the Carens and other models are really selling that well that Kia management feels confident that the consumers will still be patronizing their products? If somebody knows the sales figures they might as well post it here. Or could it be to really preserve their profit in light of the ever increasing manufacturing, etc. costs?

The way to go I think is for KIA to maintain their current prices or even lower it to absolutely make their vehicles stand head and shoulders above their competitors, thereby making those reluctant pinoys to give KIA vehicles a long hard look when purchasing their vehicles. In fact, due to the almost unbearable price of unleaded/premium, now is the absolute best time to convince the consumers to switch over to CRDi diesel technology.They can't do this or this would simply be quite impossible if they keep on jacking up their prices.

Then, when the market gets flooded with KIA vehicles and the ordinary pinoy gets to be convinced that KIA is equal to or even better than the japanese brands, then and only then, should KIA put on premium pricing.

Kumbaga, kung nanliligaw pa lang sila ng mga customers, eh dapat ma-entice sila with a good value for money proposition. Eh kung taas ng taas ng presyo sila, papaano pa sila i-consider? Nag-uumpisa pa lang eh basted na kaagad.

My carens registered 8500km more or less. When I start my engine in the morning, I heard a tick tick sound coming from the engine. It lasted for about 10-15 seconds. Any one here have the same experience. thanks
