My husband convinced me to get M/T since it'll be easier to shift to matic later on.. uy wishing to get another ride na matic si mommy bing No regrets so far even though traffic can be unbearable at times. Konting stretching lang ang katapat

napansin ba ninyo kung ILLUMINATED yung switch ng power windows sa rear doors? I can't recall kasi kung meron o wala kasi hindi siya illuminated ngayon.

appreciate your replies para alam ko kung kailangan kong dalhin sa casa siya for bulb replacement.

Got that same dilemma din when I got my unit. Check mo sa rear door mo yung locking mechanism duon. Galaw galawin mo lang yung pinakalock niya then tignan mo sa instrument panel mo kung iilaw. Kung umilaw yun instrument panel mo dalhin mo na sa casa or sa signet para paadjust o sa kanila and better yet sabihin mo palitan na lang nila.

helo guys, newbie po.well,ive been reading ur threads(just finished 1-27,started 4pm and now its really late huh).well,like some or most,im not also comfortable with kia cars(not good impression),but then,as i read all the posts,wow!now im pro carens!!!,yesterday til earlier today ive decided to buy innova2.0E gas, because i need it for my growing family,got 3 kids,bring them to and fetch them at school,go to church, malls,sometimes maybe out of town(thats when im confident enough to drive long trips...new driver po...actually tomorow im planning to enroll at lorraine's, it will be my first time to drive and own a car)punta nko sa driving school so that i can test drive na my new choice,when i go to kia san fernando.
i have concerns though,can anyone help me?my choice now is carens CRDi LX A/T
do they have 0% interest 50%down at kia?like in toyota?
is it ok to get A/T vs M/T considering my route?most of the time school(at least 16km/day)also i think ill be comfortable w/ A/T...thanks

helo, can i ask if how much u got ur carens?is it diesel or gasoline?im planning to go there this week.do they have financing options?promos in san fernando?and do they allow test drives?sensya na marami tanong.im planning to get one...

Well there is still an ongoing promo which includes free LTO, Tint and Insurance for their units. With regards to financing, I suggest that you go to your ever dependable bank and ask them about their car loan. Their Financing rate are much cheaper than any financing scheme of any dealer. With regards to test driving, I think that they will accomodate you. Kia dealers has a test drive unit for their clients depending on the availability.

• can anyone pls tell me the FC between CRDi m/t vs a/t
• about the ground clearance,i noticed before that during rainy seasons here in our place(the street going to our subdv),the water (like flash flood but after a while will recede)nearly touches the floor of a tricycles' sidecar,will it be a problem?
• w/ the price of CRDi Lx A/T,935K,all inclusive no po ba?do they give discnts in cash purchases?
• any idea of the difference between kia cars compared to toyota w/regards to the maintenance cost(well thats after 5yrs pa naman im just well...preparing)
• ohh and im going to lorraine today,shall il take test drives on m/t or a/t?im more inclined w/ the a/t though(thats why im asking for the FC)

First of all Thanks!!! Here are the answers to your questions.

• can anyone pls tell me the FC between CRDi m/t vs a/t - My Fc for manual if pure city and lots and lots of traffic is 8.3+ and in mix city and highway I got 11 and in pure highway I got 15. I don't knwo for the A/T. But manuals Fc is higher than of the A/T
• about the ground clearance,i noticed before that during rainy seasons here in our place(the street going to our subdv),the water (like flash flood but after a while will recede)nearly touches the floor of a tricycles' sidecar,will it be a problem? - I think It would not cause you any problem, Mababa ang ground clearance of the carens due to its bumpers only pero hindi naman siguro ito aabutin pag ganun lang kadeep ang flood. Mas higher ang ground clearance niya compare to cars.
• w/ the price of CRDi Lx A/T,935K,all inclusive no po ba?do they give discnts in cash purchases? - yup all inclusive na ito. and ask for some freebies na din. cash discount hindi ata sila nagbibigay ng cash discount. pero may trade in promo sila na their willing to give as much as 50k off sa unit nila. kung kaya mo maiwork out na maavail ito without trading in any unit.

Marlyn was the one who entertained me from the showroom to the test drive but Gina got the deal because she had the stock Carens LX/AT Silver (2007) when I got the PO out from our leasing company. Talk about luck

Actually, when I did my rounds of the many Kia dealers, I noticed that all of the SAs who entertained me (from Kia Libis, Signet, Novaliches, Diliman, Sucat, Pasig) were all quite knowledgeable about the Carens and were all very accommodating... so I don't think you'll really make a bad choice when it comes to choosing your SA.

Siguro, it will all boil down to which dealer can get your desired variant and color as well as to which dealer can give you the best deal.

It's been a week since I got my Carens LX/AT (EA series) from Signet. So far, these are the things I've done:

1. Blessing in Antipolo Church
2. Complete replacement of Audiovox alarm by distributor along EDSA Kalayaan - the alarm is a much better model actually so my morning's worth of waiting was well worth it at no extra charge. The packaged alarm kasi had one remote not working at all so Audiovox decided to replace the entire installation with a new model.
3. Chrome Side Mirror Covers, Chrome Door Handle Covers, Rain Gutter - from Goldrich at Banawe c/o Ms. Leony (7414676/7126610). Other accessories on hold muna like the interior mouldings, headlight cover, leather seat covers)
4. Leather wrapping of shift knob by SeatMate Mandaluyong. 5311299 look for Francis
5. Replace driver, passenger mats with heavy duty stuff similar to 3M. I bought by the yard at SM kasi mas mura lalabas and the driver side mat is shaped oddly because of the foot rest cut-out.
6. Used the same material from #5 for cargo bay matting covering up to the folded 3rd row seats.

As you can see, I've been busy Now I just need to take pics and post here.
