Hmmm... i guess Kia Philippines' marketing department is doing their work after all, just saw some Kia Carens commercial in channel 2.

I drove the Carens for test and it was good except that the ground clearance might be too low. May sayad na nga yung bumper noong test unit nila. With a full load baka mahirapan sa lubak at malalaking humps.

Pero ano nga ba ang specs nito? Parehas lang ba? I've only seen kasi yung mga gasoline/petrol na unit (this was from the Motor Show noong April).

May pinagkaiba nga ba (aside from the engine of course)?

Nope. No difference. The other specs change between EX and LX level, but both levels are available with either engine. I think the top-of-the-line is available in AT only... which isn't such a bad thing... Hyundai-Kia shifters are kinda rubbery and vague (haven't tried the Carens MT shifter, yet, though).

Oo totoo yan kaya kumuha ka na ng Carens CRDI habang maaga pa..Ok yung freebies nila ha..

W8 ko lang sa mga feed back ng nakabili na. specially ang service ng kia. mahirap na nagbayad ka na malaki , tapos sasakit pa ang ulo mo.

Sana magdagdag pa sila ng MT na CRDi. yun ang talagang ultimate sa fuel economy. hehehe.


Yung Tiptronic na SantaFe CRDi VGT 2.2L so far, 21 km/L pa lang nakuha ko (110-120kph average speed) on one long drive. Maybe, mas matipid pag manual ang tranny.
