Hay... still waiting for my company to process my car plan application... This long wait is really testing my patience... Was hoping to get my Carens in time for the Holy Week roadtrips but unfortunately, I didn't get it... I ended up driving to and from Subic using a '96 Honda Civic - which thankfully performed seamlessly throughout the trip.
My parents have already set a Tagaytay roadtrip date with me the moment I get my Carens. Hehehe...

Sasali ako dyan for sure! When will you be getting your Carens, bro Mschumacher? And what color and model will you be getting?
On a different note, has anyone installed leather/leatherette seatcovers on their Kia Carens?
Also, does anyone know if there is a cargo liner locally available for this? I saw on the internet that you could buy a cargo liner that is tailor fitted to the cargo area of the Carens (including the area of the 3rd row seats if folded down). I would really like to get this so that the interior carpeting & seatcovers will not be ruined whenever any cargo is loaded inside...
Any help and/or pics will be greatly appreciated!

that's also one of my concerns about the carens..compared kasi sa sedan, may compartment na nakahiwalay kaya kahit madumi yung ilalagay eh di damay sa loob. Sana may free a liner..
sana maenumerate ni sir ace8tan or kung sino man na nasa kia ngayon yung mga "hindi standard" na freebies..hehehe tulad ng liner, DVD player, etc..kumbaga eh Tsikot.com members' promo package from Kia...
Maganda ba ang black na carens?

Wow, swerte mo! They actually still have the 07 model? CRDi or gas? Swerte mo talaga!! I'm pretty sure I'll get stuck with the 08 model since I'll be getting white. Our own bro itlog na pula who bought a white EX CRDi last November 2007 got a 08 model (I think - since his didn't have the various accessories that the 07 model supposedly has) already so definitely ako din siguro...
I'm still trying to decide if I want the free rain gutters as well... Hehehe...

kasi when i'm looking for my carens sabi ko sa kanila I dont care about the color all I care is dapat 07 makuha ko hahahah
kaya naghanap sila for me.

Hey guys, let's vote for our beloved Kia Carens in the Autofocus People's Choice Awards 2008! The Carens was included in the category "Minivan", along with the Suzuki APV, Nissan Serena, Mitsubishi Fuzion, Chery V5, and amazingly, along with the Toyota Previa, Mitsubishi Grandis, Chrysler Pacifica, and the Chrysler Town & Country.
As of now, the Carens is a far third, behind the Suzuki APV and the Toyota Previa. Personally, I think it was not fair to include the Previa and Grandis in the same category as the Carens but I still think the Carens has a good chance of bagging the "Minivan" category if we all help.
We can vote once a day until November this year so let's vote!! Heck, I'm even choosing the Carens for the "Automobile of the Year" award but I don't have high hopes for that.
Anyhow, here's the link to the Autofocus site:

I've seen the new APV yesterday and it looks good and love the inside. But it has a 1.6 gas engine without vvti. It means it is a gas gussler and it is also under power. Imagine running it for 5 years and go uphill at the back side of tagaytay with full of people in it. hehehe 123 push... If they could only give thje APV the engine of carens hahaha whoppie zoom zoom zoom. Go Carens lets vote for it.
They probably sold so few cars last year that even a 112% increase still hardly makes a change in...
