No need to buy separate turbo timers.

With the GT808 Car Alarm System, you can even adjust the length of time you want the turbo timer set. Mine is set at 1 1/2 minutes just enough for my diesel engine to cool down. (hehehehe)

Isa pang tip is to change your air filters to K&N and for sure makakatipid kayo sa diesel fuel ninyo! All you have to do is to clean it with their cleaning solutions every after 30 thousand kilometers!

But dont forget to take it out during the appointments sa casa para di accidentally mapalitan. For drop-in filters, all you have to do is take it out and return the stock during check-ups, then pag balik sa inyo, balik na ninyo yung K&N filter niniyo!

Hindi naman mawawala ang warranty kase naman wala naman kayong modifications or tatanggalin except for the filter itself na kahit ang casa naman ay pinapalitan din! (hehehehe)

does casa have this turbo timers?

pwede po bang bumili ng turbo timer sa labas and have it installed also there or have it installed by casa?

*C190 & LR, ano po ang ginawa nyo sa old alarm, replaced it also with this GT808 or 2 na alarm?

Hello po Sir! Actually, C190 and I didn't remove the old alarm...

You can call the shop at 413-4872 or 731-0301 and please look for Sir Benjie or Maricel for your inquiries!

    Hi All,

I'm planning to buy a Kia Carens Gas EX. Any gas users here? any comments on the gas variant, feedback, recommendations?

Setting aside FC, would you recommend the CRDi variant instead?

Thanks and more power to your Carens!!

tanong ko lang po kung ang vgt ng carens ay oil cooled or oil and water cooled, kasi may nabasa po ako sa net na pag oil cooled, required ang Turbo Timer pero pag oil and water cooled hindi na raw po required, someone care to explain?

Hi.

Kung malayuan ang byahe mo everyday i think in the long run mas maganda CRDi para sa iyo.

I don't think Carens turbo is water cooled. But you can take a look at the engine exhaust manifold and see if there are water pipings there. Turbo damage happens when after a high RPM run then the engine is immediately turned off. The turbo still spins at very high rpm and the oil supply is cutoff. When it overheats, it may damage the bearings. So take a while (10+ seconds) before turning off the engine.

After reading this and researching what are the benefits of a turbo chrarger, it occurs to me na kailangan pala talga ito, especially tulad ko na sanay sa sedan na patay lang ng patay ng makina without even considering to idle my engine for a period of time, to let it cool down....biiiggg mistake.

Isa nalang problema ko ngayon...i'm from cavite, and i don't want to drive down to banawe or quezon city just for this. baka naman meron dito na taga cavite, who can recommend where i can get my carens to be fitted with a turbo charger...and 1 more, wala bang issue pag dating sa warranty ng electrical incase sa labas ipakakabit ito?

Why? kasi in the off chance na may factory defect and/or kailangan mo ng warranty service for the engine and turrbocharger, even if hindi naman related ang pagkakabit mo ng turbo timer e I am sure pahirapan yan ( in all likelihood hindi pa i honor warranty claim mo).

Altho the turbo timer ( esp those recommended by fellow tsikoteers ) are good per se, its a risk you have to consider prior to installation.

you don't really need one. of course if you can afford it (the unit and not having to mind voiding your warranty), you can have one installed.

the point lang naman is you only need to cool things down when you've driven it hard. how hard is sometimes subjective.

there's two ways. either you leave the engine idling for a couple of minutes (which is what the turbo timer does) OR a kilometer, maybe, before you reach your destination, you start to slow down. that way, you can just turn off the engine immediately when you get there.

Sir itlog, its easier said than done, when i drive my carens i always forget to let my baby cool down, lagi itong nangyayari if i went to buy something sa mall or sa mga resto or if i go to see some friends or relatives. Pag uwian na, i do also forget kaso medyo na cool down na din ng konti kasi i have to wait for maybe around 15-30sec for someone to open the gate for me sa bahay.
