Oil specs for AC Delco oils carried in the Philippines.

Kwikparts - Primary supplier of automotive parts in the philippines

AC Delco oils are pretty good stuff espcially for gas engines. The Diesel oil is CI-4. Don't know the prices.

    PRODUCT PRODUCT TYPE API RATING
SYNTHETIC 5W30 1 LITER select mineral oil SL/CI
    SYNTHETIC 5W40 1 LITER supreme plus 100% synthetic SL/CF
    SYNTHETIC 5W40 4 LITER supreme plus 100% synthetic SL/CF
    SYNTHETIC 5W50 1 LITER supreme plus 100% synthetic SJ/CF
    SYNTHETIC 5W50 4 LITER supreme plus 100% synthetic SJ/CF
SELECT MINERAL OIL 10W30 1 QUART select mineral oil SM
SELECT MINERAL OIL 10W30 4 LITER select mineral oil SM
SELECT MINERAL OIL 10W40 1 LITER(Limited stock) select mineral oil SM
SEMI SYNTHETIC 10W40 1 QUART supreme semi-synthetic SL
    SEMI SYNTHETIC 10W40 4 LITER supreme semi-synthetic SL/CF
DIESEL MULTIGRADE 15W40 1 QUART select mineral oil SL/CI-4
GASOLINE MULTIGRADE 20W50 1 QUART select mineral oil SL/CF

AC Delco formula is very close to Mobil super.

I also happened to find a dealer for Autorx engine cleaner, This is some extreamly good stuff for getting your engine cleaned out.

It's pretty much one of the best engine cleaners your going to find, Very popular on the bob the oil guy forum. I have used it over the years as well.

dvldoc, i've been reading a lot about autorx. and it seems to be a good product. a bit expensive lang at 1,500pesos for a 300++ml bottle.

Yes it's not cheap but worth it especially on a older engine with higher miles. Especially on diesels. It's about 20USD back in the states.

Something good to add every couple of years. I think it's worth it, not something you need to do ever oil change or anything like that. You just need to change your oil and filter after 800km after adding it.

if it will be every few years, i think its not going to hurt the wallet hehe

dvldoc, for your elgrand, what diesel oil are you using and how is your change interval?

The filter held up well, and the quality looks goot. The oil is pretty black but I guess those engines just run dirty, I would do a oil catch can and EGR blockoff to clean that up a bit.

dvldoc, i think what zix has is the 4d56 crdi version. blocking off the EGR would light the check engine. and it would increase the EGT unless he will also install and EGT gauge.

Nearing 25k pms, makikita na natin yung loob ng baldwin . Nagtanong ako ng wix sa superior motors, walang pang 4d56. Next in line sana yung wix para madissect din natin after use. Anyone who knows kung saan may makuha?

Very informative thread dvldoc. I've shifted to Bosch from Vic oil filters for my Gen2.5 Pajero Fieldmaster (4m40). Would you know of the Bosh, Baldwin, or Purolator oil filter equivalent for the 1FZ-FE engine (80 Series Landcruiser) and the 2UZ-FE engine (100 Series Landcruiser)? I currently use Toyota OEM oil filters on these rigs. Thanks.
