I pretty much databased all the high end filters with all the cars there and stocked up on them for a hobby gig when I retire from the Navy, Get bored with the water injection sometimes. lol.

Here is my bypass filter set up minus the filter adapter which I am still waiting on but this is what it looks like. Except i am not using the barbed fittings but Push lock fittings with 8AN ends. I don't care for barbs and hose clamps that much.

This is my Bypass system set up. I am using a Full flow Luberfiner imperial XL full sythetic media filter. With a Fleetguard LF3947 (stratopore) full sythetic 5 lay media (best filter money can buy). Again you can't go to your local parts store for these filters.

Specs
The LFP780XL is a 5 micron * 50% and a 20 micron * 98.67% filters 2 microns absolute at 36%.

The LF3947 30 Micron at 99% and a 10 Micron at 85% efficient 5 microns 78% efficient on the first pass. 2 microns absolute.

I was going to use the LF3487 which is the sythetic media as well but the microglass which is the same thing as Amsiol, The Statapore has 5 different layers. You can also see the size difference these are about 7 inches tall. And will be good for 40000KLM oil changes with changing the full flow every 20000klm and the Bypass at 40000KLM.

I also am adding a Isspro oil pressure gauge and Nordskog oil temp gauge to keep a eye on everything using a sandwich adapter on the bypass filter.

You can see the Amsoil and the Fleetguard microglass media is basically the same. Both the filters I am using exceed the Amsoil in filtration ability but not by much.

Interesting video on bypass systems.
