Is there any truth in putting kerosene in your diesel fuel tank to clean your fuel system?

I don't know. I've heard people talk about this but have not seen any technical bulletin to support this claim.

Since we are a Bosch Diesel Center, Robert Bosch should have advised us on fluids which can help protect their diesel systems. So far.....none.

Guys I have a 2008 Isuzu Sportivo AT. The following was recently done to my ride:
1. Changed Oil.
2. Change fuel and oil filters.
3. Cleaned air filter.
4. Blanked EGR (This removed the black smoke).

On our recent trip to Naga City via south road I experienced the following:
1. Maingay na makita.
2. Very slow acceleration (Feels like stuck to the 1st gear).
3. High fuel consumption.
4. At 80-90kph it feels like from the 4th gear it automatically gears down to 3rd while accelerating.

On our way back eto naman ang nangyari:
1. Pumino tunog ng makina hindi na maingay.
2. Overtaking power was restored.
3. Fuel consumption improved. We managed to consume a little less than 1 full tank of diesel.

Question: Is it possible that a broken part was suddenly fixed? No this is not possible.

Is so ano kaya ito mga sir? I don't know. Car needs to be checked.

My concern is the downshifting na alanganin ng AT on high speeds. Is this the injection pump or the AR transmission? It could be that the throttle potentiometer needs adjustment or replacement if your car has this feature, or the transmission shift cable need adjustment.

I forgot to change the AT fluids pala.

Hi sir DD, i have a pajero DI-D 3.2 A/T 2003 model ride. It has 183k on it but seems to be running well naman. Considering its age and mileage, i think its about time to have its fuel injectors serviced. Can you give me a quotation via pm more or less how much will it cost me. I dont want to try other diesel service centers as i wanted to deal with you guys who are experts in this kind of field. Thanks in advance.

Don't touch it if it aint broke. As you mentioned, your car is running fine.

Hi DieselDude, May Innova G 2006 diesel po ako na sasakyan.....gusto ko po sana humingi ng help sa inyo para maintenance na mabuti yong sasakyan ko... 75000km na po natatakbo ng sasakyan ko....2nd hand ko sya po nabili.... Nasa Owne's manual ang preventive maintenance information ng car mo.

Tuwing kilan po ako magpapa:
1. Change oil: every 5000kms
2. Change ng Air Filter: depends on where you drive your car; more often in very dusty area; check your manual
3. Mapapalinis ng Fuel Tank: not necessary, fuel filter will clean your fuel
4. Change ng Fuel Filter: 1 year maximum
5. Change Gear Oil: check your manual
6. Check ng Injection Pump: as needed
7. Change ng Aircon Filter; Check your owner's manual
8. Kilan po ako magpapa calibrate ng sasakayan?: as needed

Tuwing weekend ko lang naman po nagagamit sasakyan ko city drive...or uwi ng province namin sa batangas.

The original Innova filter is both filter and water separator. Of course, putting in an additional filter/separator can help.

Ibilin mo lang na habang wala ka, paandarin ang engine once a week for 5 minutes para di masira ang battery.

Naglalagay po ba kayo ng extra Water fuel separator sa Innova D4D 2006, nabasa ko po kasi sa dito na ang nakakasira ng Injector is kung may sasamang tubig papuntang makina..... Totoong masama sa fuel injection system ang tubig. Dual function ang original filter ng Innova, fuel filter and water separator sha.

2, Malakas narin po kumain ng fuel, 9-10kl/liter
3, Mababa po ang rpm mababa pa po sa 1 kahit nakabukas ang aircon
4, Starting naman po kaylangan maka dalawang start ako para umandar sya.

Hi sir DD. Just when i thought ok yung pajero did 3.2 ko, eto na problema. Tumataas temp nya at napupunta coolant sa reserve. Nag konsulta ako sa mekaniko at sinabi nya na malamang daw ay yung thermostat. Bumili naman ako at tapos na mapalitan ganun pa rin. Umuusok rin sya ng puti pag bagong start, pero pag mainit na engine nawawala naman. Sabi ng mekaniko dapat daw palitan yung radiator cap at yung cylinder head gasket dahil tubig daw yung usok na puti. Ano sa palagay mo problema neto sir? Me posibilidad din kaya na sa turbo may problema? Ty in advance sir DD. Btw sir, nasa abroad ako ngayun, as much as gusto ko dalhin jan sasakyan hindi ko magawa kaya bayaw ko nag aasikaso ng sasakyan. Ty sa advice sir.

Sir regarding injector nozzle :, due to a bad experienced about clogged or bad spray pattern, would you recommend to check first the cleaning of an injector fluid preferably before a long provincial sunday trip in order to avoid unnecessary problem and just how much is the prevailing nozzle cleaning service fee and do i have to watch out for the technician as the tip might be replaced? TIA

I need help on my '98 Mitsubishi Adventure, 4D56 Engine.

1st During cold start po, mausok siya, white smoke coming out continuously, pero mag mainit na, wala naman na, at parang sinisinok yung makina, lakas din ng vibration. I have 4 glowplugs replaced less than 3 months ago. normal ba to sa lumang diesel engine?

2nd is Black smoke coming out kapag pa-ahon or arangkada.

hindi ko na alam saan ako magsisimula, kasi po this past few years madami nadin akong pinagawa dito sa truck ko, since I'm kinda restoring it and doing preventive maintenance. eto po mga pinagawa ko;

Engine calibrated back in December of 2011.
Nozzle tips replaced around July 2012.
Last change oil Sept. of 2013.

My aim now is to eliminate if not reduce this black smoke coming out. nakakahiya minsan nag i-slow down mga nasa likod ko pag umaarangkada, tapos minsan nag ba-bright pa ng ilaw. heheh
