Cheapest e10 I saw was at Shell N. Domingo, San Juan 35.07 as of today. Another Shell station in J. Ruiz sells e10 at 39.48.
Shocking difference in price indeed. Saves me 200 php every time I get the tank filled in our Innova.![]()
with the prices really gone down balik unleaded gasoline ako. para sakin mas ok hatak ng unleaded gas kaysa unleaded e10. pag naging 50+/li babalik ulit ako sa e10.
My nephew works with Chevron. I was informed that by year 2011, all gasoline that will be sold in the market, whether it be Shell,Caltex,Petron etc, would be unleaded with e10. This is to lower down the cost of gasoline among consumers. I just dont know the effect on our engines in the long run. I also got some info that all models 2004 and up are compliant to these alternative. From my understanding, nakakasira daw ng mga rubber parts or gaskets ang e10. Correct me if im wrong.
kaka full tank ko lang kanina sa shell edsa ... unleaded e10.. 29petot per liter... ayos di ba kaso first time ko itong magkarga sabi ko kasi sa atttendant super unleaded.. nilagay super unleaded e10.. nyahahaha difference lang ng regular unleaded is .50 ...29.50 sya...
has anyone heard something like this? sa may amin kasi, may 2 Shell stations na nagsabi na di na daw sila magbebenta ng plain unleaded (greenheights-marikina and san mateo-ampid). lahat daw papalitan na ng E10 unleaded. i'm trying to see if may announcement ba na ganito or government mandate. mahirap to kasi may carb-fed car pa kami na alam kong di pwede sa E10.
by 2010 lang yata.. kailangan lahat nang Gas stations may E10 na.. hindi naman sinabing i phased out na ang unleaded.
Well, if the oil companies do phase them out in favor of E10, it won't be because government mandated it.
There's nothing in the Oil Deregulation Law or the Clean Air Act which says they should.
they cannot do this, imho. may mga oto na hindi compatible sa E10. tama yung sabi ni Qwerty. baka ang mandated is lahat ng stations eh dapat may E10 na, which i am seeing right now. Caltex introduced one. Total introduced one too.
ano ba kaibahan ng E10 sa unleaded lang? pasensya na naitanong lang
e10, as the name implies, is a mixture of 10% ethanol alcohol and gasoline.
the ordinary unleaded is 100% gasoline.
pag e20, 20% na yung mixture ng ethanol. in other countries like brazil, they are using e80, which is a mixture of 80% alcohol and 20% gasoline.
as i've stated earlier, the use of e10 is not recommended for all cars.
thanks sa replies!
yung mga gas stations na nabanggit ko dati pang may pumps na dedicated na for E10. so hindi naman siguro making way lang. anyway, it may be rin na nawalan lang sila ng stock ng unleaded at those times and we just misinterpreted them. although these are 2 different Shell branches with different owners saying the same thing. wierd.
pero mahirap nga to kung totoo kasi andami pang non-E10 compliant as some mentioned. not even E5. kahit brand new pa. we'll check the other shell stations within the area na rin. sayang pa naman yung rebate sa credit card ng wife ko kung sakaling mapipilitan syang lumipat ng ibang station. hehe
A more wider implementation of ethanol for fuel like E20 or even E80/E100 can lead to increase in food prices as well as destruction of forests and another natural habitats for cultivation of ethanol crops.
This can even lead to a net increase of overall CO2 and other pollutants because of the increased requirement for fuel crop cultivation.
