E10 Ethanol, bad for your engine & economy? [MERGED]

mukhang madedelay ang implementation ng biofuels dahil may kumokontra.

am just thinking, why would the law impose the 10% blend if some cars cant run on it, like yung mga carb type. kung lumalakas din sa gas ang consumption, it defeats the purpose of having cleaner air because you will end up using more gas.

hindi ba dapat bigyan tayo ng option? to use e10 or use regular petrol that is ethanol free?

Try mo sa Shell Shaw Blvd in Mandaluyong (side going towards Manila direction). Malapit lang sa Ortigas Center yun, roughly 2-3 kms away. Tabi ito ng Honda Shaw at tapat ng Liberty Center-Puregold/KFC. Mura pa at P40.70 per liter lang as of last night.

Shell station corner Buendia and EDSA has E10. I don't use it though, despite everytime I load gas I ended up parking beside the pump with E10.

mine is innova g.. got 2 to 3 km per liter more when i used E10. and much quitter yung engine. may naka experience na ba sa inyo nito.? may last fill ng e10 is 45.07 per liter.

I haven't checked but yesterday auto-LPG was at P26.80/L

Anyone know the latest prices of E10? With the recent price hikes it might be the time to use E10 I have confirmed naman that my Honda's can take them...

Shell E10 is always 2 Pesos cheaper than Shell Regular Unleaded.

If you want to be sure if your car make/model is compatible with E10, ask the gasoline attendant for the list of Cars make/model chart that can use Shell E10, actually they have the list on the pump for quick reference.

afaik, even carbed engines can use ethanol fuel as long as it is at max 20% only. some carb engines need to have their timing advanced a little for better mileage and efficiency, others don't need to.
