We aren't too far from that. Before the P2.50 increase in gasoline prices, it was said that the total price increase was around P5/L to P6/L ... so I expect E10 prices hitting P51/L before the end of month (and unleaded to be at P53/L).

im using E10 for the past four months. wala namang pagbabago sa hatak, although may minimal increase in FC (increase of around 10%).

last night: topped up with 300 pesos of e10 * 47.xx/L shell visayas avenue, 7pm, 6.xxL all in all.

car: 1989 nissan maxima with CA20 2.0 carb engine.

fuel left in the tank: 1/4 tank = 50L/4 = approx. 12.5L left.

no immediate effects on engine perfomance, but on initial test, same consumption as when i used ordinary unleaded - mas matakaw over when im using super prenium/vpower/blaze ( old school engines )

so in the end, you are actually spending MORE money than if you were using unleaded gasoline.

If your FC has increased by 10% and saving around 5% on the cost, your car's 5% more expensive on E10 gasoline.

yup. that's also the information available in the Internet.
but again, the reckoning point here is the cash on hand when filling up...

and besides, i really fill-up at the 1/4 level.

    Taken from http://www.doe.gov.ph/FAQ'S/ethanol.htm

"Can E10 unleaded be used in older cars?
The formulation of gasoline has changed dramatically over the past few years without affecting the performance of old cars. As the engine gets older, the octane requirements of the engine increase due to carbon formation in the pistons and combustion chambers. The bioethanol in E10 raises octane rating in gasoline and it does so using a natural, renewable additive that works well in older engines."

mukhang older cars would benefit more with this. i'll empty my tank first then try to fillup a quarter of a tank of e10. let's see kung magrereklamo oto ko.

if thats the point and proven to be correct, why even bother filling up at E10 pumps when you know you are going to get screwed in the FC figures? Won't it make more proper sense to fill up with unleaded gasoline since it would give you better FC figures and eventually cost you less if you compute the cost per kilometer run?

it depends bro. and i don't load it all the time. using E10 is just my option depending on how much money i have in my wallet that time.

i get even worst mileage if i am using Petron Unleaded, i don't know why.

    it goes like this:

on a full tank of Shell Unleaded (not E10), i get around 310 kms or around 10.33.

on a full tank of Shell Unleaded E10, i get around 290 kms or around 9.66.
on a full tank of Caltex Silver, i get around 300 kms or around 10 kms/l.
BUT on a full tank of Petron Unleaded (Red), i only get a max of 240 kms/l or around 8 kms/l.

    same traffic condition, same route.

Up ko lang ito. Di ako masagot ng mga SeaOil gas boys eh.

Sa SeaOil Shaw Blvd (near Pineda), puro E10 ang gas nila. Meron sila E10 RON93 at meron rin E10 RON95. All pumps contain E10. Wala silang pure unleaded o pure premium gas lang, puro meron halo an 10% ethanol.

Question lang, in case meron SeaOil insider dito.

Tried it on a Honda Civic and Accord, and its all ok. But somehow I just don't feel its worth it, the mileage seems to go down when I use it. I would still stick to regular unleaded...

Depende sa needs ng car. Ako the best para sakin is just the regular unleaded since the premium one don't really improve my car economy at all so in essence they are just a waste of money. But if your car needs higher octane then you don't have a choice. E10 if you forgot your credit card and have very few cash on hand

As for me, I'd rather stick with unleaded or premium, rather than try out E10....
