Hi Im new here. Although sinusundan ko ang mga threads ng Fortuner topics for sometme na. This is my first time to post. I got my Fortuner 3.0V D4D (Silver Metallic) on Sept 27. Placed my order on July 22 so it took me 2 months before I got my unit.

Wala pang mods except for the tires & Wheels 18", 60 Series Falken, window visors from Carryboy (mas maganda kesa sa Toyota visors, mas mura pa), hood carrier for ease and convenience (which I highly recommend dahil medyo mabigat at mataas ang hood eh) and F1 pedal covers.

Tanong ko lang kung napansin ninyo na kulang or bitin ang plastic cover sa front fender wells (more on passenger side)? Walang sagot ang Toyota dealer dito. Mukhang hindi na engineer or nakalimutan lang nila. Delikado kasi ang wiring ng fog lamps eh.

*shockz: Be careful if you're planning to have a hood carrier installed. I saw a post in FortunerClub.com of a guy whose hood got bent at the point where the hood carrier is connected. You see, the carrier offers some assistance when you lift the hood, but, it also offers some resistance when you close the hood.

I'm sure it'll be ok, as long as dahan-dahan mo lang ibinababa ang hood. H'wag mo lang biglain pag-hila pababa ng dulo ng hood, 'coz if the carrier stiffens, mayuyupi hood mo.

Anybody familiar or have tried with Diamond Gloss from ziebart? Can I have it applied to my new ride if ever it wiill arrive next month?

The burglar alarm of the fortuner is connected to its horn, right? If so, can it be modified to sound like an ordinary burglar alarm?

The alarm has its own horn. It's not connected to the car horn. You can actually have the denso horn replaced with an ordinary alarm horn.

Yup! I just had my stock horns replaced with a Stebel Nautlius. When I tested the alarm, it wasn't the Nautilus that blared. The Fortuner has a single stock denso horn used as an alarm horn. It's located at the right hand side of the engine compartment. I think it's exactly the same model as the stock horns...

I went to Banawe last Sunday and had my stock horns replaced with the Stebel Nautilus air horn, the new horn is way louder than the stock units! Is it just me, or does the Nautilus sound like the air horns used by garbage trucks? I swear when I used my new horns, several maids on our street would drag out their garbage cans! I also had Miggyboy Car Accessories install the hood carrier (very useful for vertically challenged guys like me!) and some minor cosmetic upgrades. I love using her on Sundays and to feel the power of 100 plus horses at my disposal. Looking forward to meeting all of you guys.

Is your unit the 2.7 VVTi? The line is really long daw for this variant according to a SA from your dealer.
