I just hope apexi_66 is referring to the dealers, and not the owners....told 'ya, this is a 'touchy' issue...

*Patron, you are right! I'm referring to the TOYOTA dealers. I'm really disappointed the way Toyota do their business sa Fortuner. Parang pinaglalaruan lang nila ang mga nakapilang buyers. Sa posting dito ng iba, they've been waiting for their Fortuner for kung ilang buwan na tapos makakabasa ka ng post na 1 week lang silang naghintay. Ano kaya ang feeling mo non?

*Vicosky, my earlier negative post pertaining to the Fortuner is what I have read from the motoring magazines, newspaper and heard from some of my acquaintances here and abroad ( I use to travel out of the country every 28 days). In fact, one guy told me that even his boss, one of the top executive of Toyota is saying negative things about the Fortuner and he heard him saying "what's the fuzz with the Fortuner". Kaya yong iba sinulat ko to get the feed back straight from the Fortuner owners. Talk of the town ang Fortuner eh kay may lalabas at lalabas na negative at positive comments. Kaya huwag magagalit sana ang mga Fortuner owners. Buti nga kayo, nadadrive nyo na ang Fortuner nyo samantalang ang iba, nangangarap pa rin. :cheers:

Ganyan talaga... There are people here who shelled-out up to P400T extra of their hard-earned money or chose to get IHI and IHF, just to get their units. All these on top of the cost of the unit. Even implying na maka-karma sila on top of what they've already lost to the unscrupulous dealerships is not a good idea...

There are people who chose to stay in line and there are people who jumped the line by "biting the bullet", so to speak. Also, there are people who gave hell to the dealership to respect the line (like me )...

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, was waiting in line since May 2005, first for a 2.5 D4D. Even before it was released, we were told that this may come out around August 2005. But actually, we made reservations also for a 2.7 VVTi. So, it was more of what dealer can be the first unit. So happened that, somebody for Toyota Alabang offered that I could get a 2.5 D4D ahead of the others, if, as all of us know, I get the 20" mags, kelseats, HiD, sidings, etc. Didn't take it as I was not willing to spend 300T for additional accessories. Then our dealer from Toyota Makati calls me up saying that my unit is already available, and that was October 2005, no additional accessories whatsoever.

Lucky me, hence I ride on my new Fortuner.

"Patience is a virtue" as some other people would say.

Hmmm... This doesn't sound like you're talking about dealerships, 'coz the subject of the discussion are owners who hurdled fair-and-square... It implies that owners who hurdled otherwise may face karma... We just have to be careful with vague comments that can be misinterpreted. Remember, this thread is meant to welcome owners and future owners. Not scare or intimidate them.

sir vic, isa ka rin palang tunay na 'mandirigma' Ako man, pumila na ako as early as April pa. religiously, i honored the line, and i only got my unit last Sept. Flat affect pa nga ako (kunwari) nu'ng tinawagan ako ng agent ko. In short, i was lucky, my patience paid off, and i wasn't ripped off on the scheme. I just paid for what i essentially need.

2.7G VVTi = 8 ( 6 silver; 2 black)
3.0V D4D = 12 ( 5 silver; 3 black; 3 dark grey; 1 super white)

By body color:

Silver Metallic = 13
Black Mica = 7
Dark Grey Mica Metallic= 4
Super White II = 1
Greyish Brown Metallic = 0 *is the color that rare, or only few tsikoteers want this color?

Hi Im new here. Although sinusundan ko ang mga threads ng Fortuner topics for sometme na. This is my first time to post. I got my Fortuner 3.0V D4D (Silver Metallic) on Sept 27. Placed my order on July 22 so it took me 2 months before I got my unit.

Wala pang mods except for the tires & Wheels 18", 60 Series Falken, window visors from Carryboy (mas maganda kesa sa Toyota visors, mas mura pa), hood carrier for ease and convenience (which I highly recommend dahil medyo mabigat at mataas ang hood eh) and F1 pedal covers.

Tanong ko lang kung napansin ninyo na kulang or bitin ang plastic cover sa front fender wells (more on passenger side)? Walang sagot ang Toyota dealer dito. Mukhang hindi na engineer or nakalimutan lang nila. Delikado kasi ang wiring ng fog lamps eh.

Pwede mo bang i-post yung pic ng unit mo? About the fenders, talagang wala yung sa passenger side. Search this thread, it was thoroughly discussed. I think it's somewhere on the first 25 pages...

Thanks Patron, nakita ko na yung thread tunkol sa wheel well cover. Mukhang wala pang solution kundi mag order sa Thailand (Last thread i saw). Pero baka problema din para sa tin dito dahil Right hand drive sila sa thailand. Iba ang configuration ng steering mechanisms, therefore baka iba ang mold na kelangan sa left and right (non-symetrical). So Im thinking of DIY na lang, meron na ba nakagawa nito (sucessfully)? Let you guys know ano outcome nung sa kin later.

I got my unit from Toyota Balintawak. And the sales person was honest about the wait list but he really pushed to get me my unit before the Oct price increase.

The carryboy items cost me something like P3,800 for the hood carrier and under P2000 for the visors at a dealer near my place. The visors had perfect fit and also seems better designed lalu na sa front bottom ends as compared to Toyota. Then may Silver din ang Carryboy that matched my unit. Nagpalit din nga pala ko ng busina, medyo hindi bagay ang liit ng OEM horn sa laki ng Fortuner eh.

I cant post pics right now dahil nasa byahe ako. I promise I will post pics of my ride soon as i get back. Coz i miss my car too....

you are lucky to have a sales agent to be that helpful. do you have to purchase or avail something from toyota balintawak for them to release your unit that quickly?

Ah yes, the ususal. I was offered "leather" seats, DVD player and then installment plan (with Toyota). Gusto ko naman lahat yung options kaya yun ang avail namin. I guess, pareho ito sa karamihan but I was amazed kung pano nya kami natulungan mabigyan agad at pursigido sya makuha namin before the price increase.
