Ideally way back January when we have our 3 confirmed cases and 1 of them a foreigner from china who went to Cebu, we should have lockdown already when it started but the problem is there is no pandemic yet at that time and just 3 confirmed cases we could not justify the lockdown. Also in February this year I went to travel expo in SMX and there are so many people buying tickets and tours unknowingly that their travel plans would not push through. If only we could turn back time and have the lockdown as early as 1st few cases was confirmed here.

    hindsight is always 20-20 vision.

    we were at a dis-advantage.
unlike other neighboring countries, our recent epidemics involved only farm animals.
this is the first time in recent memory, that we are experiencing an epidemic that shows our loopholes very effectively.
it's a bit like the USA, before and after pearl harbor.

some folks believe our curve had flattened.
    personally, i think, "not yet".
but i would be very very happy, for history to prove me wrong.

Yes the 70% variant would kill the virus but thorough rubbing pa din para tamaan lahat at hindi yung unang natamaan lang ng liquid.

Many things could have gone our way but it didn't... Many said ban flights from China, but many of the cases came from countries that still allowed Chinese flights like Japan and S Korea. Many cases were infected locals coming from abroad.

DOH was completely caught flat footed when the second wave arrived. It took the WHO representative to tell the country that local transmission has taken place, while Duque was still denying it. Not enough PPEs, health workers forced to use trashbags. No proper facilities and only 2000 test kits and just one testing facility in the entire country. And contact tracing was practically tossed out the window.

ano gusto nila makita para ma-lift ung lockdown?

double digit or single digit or zero new cases?

baka 4Q na ma-lift ung lockdown

kung hihintayin nila mag single digit or zero yan walang katapusan ang lockdown

    hindsight is always 20/20

the only country that acted that early is Taiwan

HK and SK also acted fast

1 thing common sa kanila meron sila recent experience with viruses (SARS, MERS)

    kaya mabilis sila kumilos

gusto ko iextend? yes on places with increasing cases and I don't see any problem with that? pero buong metro manila? where on my post did I say that? pa quote pls.

10k confirmed cases? "bbbuutt it's just a tip of the iceberg" flattened naman ang curve since we have lots of hospitals rooms and isolation areas ok lang.

    you're a walking contradiction

Peace!

DOH - 6000+ pending admission, I thought we have enough hospitals rooms and isolation areas?

Tip of the iceberg pa lang sabi mo di ba?
