Is the government mass testing enough to make this conclusion? Is there still a backlog of test results?

identifying the positives is just half the formula for success.
the other half, is to adequately sequester the positives away from the susceptible population. personally, i do not think house quarantine is adequate enough. the typical filipino house mechanism precludes effective quarantine.

kaya hindi na-zero ng 2 months ECQ natin coz all our government did was swab but they didn't remove the positives + contacts from the community

poor countries like Myanmar did a far better job coz they used centralized quarantine

the idea may have been right.
but the execution left much to be desired.

The point is, it has risen. Easing a lockdown when cases are still high is a bad idea! Look at South Korea! One person has infected many others when he went to clubs and bars!

Lockdown is a stringent measure and many countries that have partial lockdowns have low numbers of deaths and cases. Look at Sweden.

The Commission is strongly committed to supporting the development of a vaccine. Let’s be clear: Without a coronavirus vaccine, we will never be able to live normally again. The only real exit strategy from this crisis is a vaccine that can be rolled out worldwide. That means producing billions of doses of it, which, in itself, is a huge challenge in terms of manufacturing logistics. And despite the efforts, it is still not even certain that developing a COVID-19 vaccine is possible.

    a SARSCOV2 positive walks into a bar...

    saan ang cut-off niyo?

double digit new cases? single digit new cases? zero new cases?

kung zero new cases sagot niyo i will use that South Korea argument

so when do you guys think is the right time to lift the lockdown?

    when a vaccine comes out?

what if there won't be a vaccine?

i was talking to a doctor kanina involved in the research of making cancer droga and she says the medical community is unanimous in saying that the ecq should be extended til the end of the month. it's just too dangerous daw to let our guard down. sa lung center daw grabe ang situation until now.

btw, she told me also that wala daw recorded cases sa ilocos norte and sa cagayan province. medyo surprised daw sila. she jokingly told me wala ata chinese activity daw doon sa norte.

paki tanong ano ang difference ng 15 more days

as if in 15 days the gov't will be able to catch all positives and isolated them in quarantine centers

Problema nga kung extend nanaman ng two weeks? Ano ba ma achieved? Eh wala naman ginagawa DOH. Yun target nilang testing capacity per day nagawa na ba?

They're just pulling numbers out of thin air ... if they keep on extending it ... there'll be no more economy, jobs to return to when they lift it ... even if you are work from home, eventually it will affect you ...

    dahil araw araw meron nahahawa

oo nag sa-swab sila... mass swabbing... tapos?

    kulang
