Jha, dean of Brown University and a former Harvard health expert said during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday. “Omicron changes that. This is the shift we’ve been waiting for in many ways.”

The country has shifted, Jha said, to a place where people who are vaccinated and especially those who have received a booster shot “are gonna bounce back” if they become infected with the coronavirus.

“That’s very different than what we have seen in the past,” he said. “So I no longer think infections, generally, should be the major metric.”

Jha said it remains important that health officials track infections among non-vaccinated individuals “because those people will end up in the hospital.”

“But we really need to focus on hospitalizations and deaths now,” he said.

The thing is, negosyo yan, if di ka vaxxed and they won't let you in, no business for them, at alam nila, vaxxed or unvaxxed, may dala kang covid, hindi naman mamatay sa loob, it will take days and they know contact tracing is just for show. So ung tumitingin ng cards, I bet if you don't have, they'll discreetly let you in.

Been to SM North and UP Town Center last week. The restaurants there were all asking for vax cards and IDs for those who want to dine in.

Pati basement parking, may hawak na mirror para sa ilalim ng sasakyan pero one second sulyap lang sa side ng kotse ayos na. Mukhang tinatamad na mga gwardya, mga display lang sa entrance. [emoji23]

I guess it depends on how long the exposure was. I would still quarantine and monitor just in case.

Wala nga symptoms friend ko.

long before covid,
some persons already had strong innate immunity.
that's why not everybody exposed to the virus, comes down with the infection.
and if they did, the symptoms were minimal to absent.
vaccination helps those without strong innate immunity.

I hope I don't get infected talaga. I need a negative RT PCR test to be able to fly

i'll be skipping the boosters and maybe wait for updated vaccines. my immune system is working anyway, i don't even remember the last time i got flu (i never had flu vaccines)

but i'll continue to use FFP2 masks (cloth and surgical masks are USELESS). and do daily bike rides under the sun (you only get vitamin D from 10am to 3pm)

For example, my friend who I was exposed to, Dec 24 evening she got her positive result from saliva test. She went out agad to several drugstores to buy a test kit. Ako naman, nagkulong na agad sa room. Dec 25 she went out to take her mind off things. Dec 26 she called me if I want to go with her for drive thru swab (e di lalo ako na expose sa kanya!)

Here is what shocks me - my TITA who she works with, sinundo niya Dec 27 so they can go to work together and retest sa saliva. I told my senior Tita e di she will get exposed to her e magkasama sila sa car She said naka mask naman sila pareho - but they are breathing the same air! Saka closed windows pa yan kasi heater! When my Tita came back she asked me if I wanna go out shopping Naisip ko, what the heck, bakit ako magkukulong dito kung mga kasama ko normal na normal, so I said yeah drop me off sa shopping area (so I went but with mask of course)

As long as the infected is wearing a mask, your chances of getting it is very very slim.

What I think happened the previous years, the virus took out those vulnerables, those 'mahihinang nilalang'. Those who got infected and have comorbidities and very weak immune systems never survived, especially those who never got vaxxed. Now those of us left are the stronger ones, especially now that many are fully vaxxed. So kahit magka covid, hindi na severe ang tama.
