I guess it depends on how long the exposure was. I would still quarantine and monitor just in case.

    long before covid,
some persons already had strong innate immunity.
that's why not everybody exposed to the virus, comes down with the infection.
and if they did, the symptoms were minimal to absent.
vaccination helps those without strong innate immunity.

in PH when weather gets cooler people get out more, thus more vitamin D and less covid transmission

in cold countries in winter it's too cold to go outside and the window hours to get vitamin D is super narrow (coz atmosphere blocks the wavelengths that generate vit D)

no more covid tests for asymptomatic people

no more quarantine for close contacts of positive cases

    no more contact tracing

As long as media keeps reporting about covid, hindi matatapos ang pandemic.

until about a week ago no one has died from omicron, yet no one was reporting zero deaths from omicron for SEVERAL MONTHS. they always want to paint this variant as "scary"

up to this day very few news outlets even mention that omicron is mild

With the third/boosters shot proving to be useless since it's only good for 10 weeks... should we be rushing to get one? Considering Omicron symptoms are same as the common cold...

    ignorance.
    crowd mentality.
we need all the help / protection we can get.

    in my opinion,
it's too early to be proving anything yet. all we have, are relatively short-term findings.
hopefully, things will become clearer in the near future...

i'll be skipping the boosters and maybe wait for updated vaccines. my immune system is working anyway, i don't even remember the last time i got flu (i never had flu vaccines)

but i'll continue to use FFP2 masks (cloth and surgical masks are USELESS). and do daily bike rides under the sun (you only get vitamin D from 10am to 3pm)

I'm sure there are protocols there. Maybe they'll require you to get tested?

People infected with Omicron no need hospitalization and close contacts no need to be strict quarantine in Singapore lah...

Omicron cases to recover at home, community facilities as Singapore eases approach to managing COVID-19 variant - CNA

Instead of being isolated in dedicated facilities by default, Omicron cases will be placed on home recovery or treated at community care facilities depending on their clinical presentation, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) late on Sunday night.

"International evidence indicates that the Omicron variant is likely to be more transmissible but less severe than the Delta variant, and that vaccines, especially boosters, retain substantial protection against hospitalisations caused by Omicron," said MOH.

Close contacts of Omicron cases will be issued a seven-day health risk warning instead of being quarantined for 10 days, and those currently in quarantine will be progressively discharged over the next few days. They would have to self-test with ART daily before leaving their homes.

"Contact tracing efforts would shift back towards self-reporting by family members and leveraging digital tools such as TraceTogether, and tight ringfencing of vulnerable settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, MSF elderly homes and preschools," said MOH.
