i think the reason why inactivated virus vaccines have weaker effect than delivering spike DNA/mRNA is coz mas matagal ang effect ng delivered DNA/mRNA kesa actual antigen

when instructions are delivered into cells to make the spike protein, cells will keep pumping out spikes as long as the instructions haven't degraded

i've read that mRNA instructions will last days and degrade in less than 2 weeks

when you get those instructions into your cells they'll will keep pumping out spikes for days

sa inactivated vaccine the number of copies of inactivated virus contained in the injection is all you get (it's inactivated so doesn't replicate)

yes they're afraid of new tech coz di pa alam ano long term effect

when i read those articles where some singaporeans prefer sinovac kahit pfizer is available, naalala ko ung chat namin ng friend ko itong june

she was offered pfizer but chose sinovac

ayaw niya talaga magpabakuna in the 1st place but she went sinovac coz it's old tech

point ko lang in these 2 posts is meron parin market for traditional old tech vax

you'd think pag may choice na mRNA everyone would go mRNA

pero meron pala mga gusto old tech

the newest and the boldest versus the oldest and the surest.

    many times already,
given the choice between the older specialist and the newly-arrived from abroad,
    many choose the older.

    BUT

i agree with his concern in vaccinating kids

isipin mo 'to meron ka teenage daughter who has a whole life ahead of her

    mag aasawa yan, magkaka anak

pa-injectionan mo ng new tech vax na di pa alam ano effect years from now

pano kung may effect yan sa fertility?

    nobody can say for sure

valid concern yan -- sabi ng friend ko di niya ipapa-mrna vax ang daughter niya

sinovac pwede pero no way mrna

Tama, its the same when it comes to cars
Newer cars comes with CVT, and dual clutch transmission but older/more experienced people prefer the traditional automatic transmission. That's why there are still debates on which is better a CVT or traditional A/T.

an industry person was once asked why they keep coming out with new things like cvt.
"because that's what the buying public wants."

when my 4AT needed fixin', i brought it to the talyer and they fixed it good.
i doubt if any current talyer can fix a cvt... yet.
