since mabilis dumami ang delta variant sa loob ng ilong/lalamunan mabilis mag cause ng symptoms

those who got tested this week probably caught it last week

to see the effect of ECQ (if there will be an effect) we'll probably see it next week

pero i think wala masyado effect itong ECQ coz this variant is so contagious
From my understanding if the virus infects a fully vaccinated individual incubation period takes longer and that individual will not show symptoms virus will just hide until it finds an unvaccinated host.... so it takes longer time thats why it keeps on spreading. If the virus just stays for 2 to 3days then we will not see cases going up.

but we have more unvaccinated people than vaccinated people

    -

    another thing

vaccinated and unvaccinated people show the same high level of viral load

vaccinated people are able to get their viral load down faster than unvaccinated

pero habang mataas ang viral load ng mga vaccinated (first few days), nakakahawa yan

comparing viral load of vaccinated and unvaccinated

    sa umpisa pareho mataas

then mas mabilis bumaba viral load ng vaccinated

so during the first few days, nakakahawa ang vaccinated

can we assume that the vaccinateds remain infective for a shorter period of time than the non-vaccinateds?
... good enough reason to get vaccinated ?

Here We Go Again... WHO Announces The "Marburg Virus"

    Introducing… the MARBURG VIRUS.

Earlier this week, as police fanned out across the streets of Paris going table-to-table in cafes to check people’s Covid papers, and as the Australian military deployed to the streets of Sydney to enforce extended lockdowns, the World Health Organization announced a brand new outbreak of the “Marburg Virus” in West Africa.

Marburg is yet another highly infectious virus, and one that the WHO has classified as the highest level biological threat– “Risk Group 4”.

(By comparison, SARS-Cov-2 is a lower, “Risk Group 3” biological agent.)

Marburg comes from the same virus family as Ebola. And, while Covid-1984 has a roughly 1.7% fatality rate according to CDC data, the limited data from the past 20 years of Marburg cases shows a fatality rate of 85%.

One person died from the Marburg virus in Guinea last week, and authorities there estimate that 145 people may have been in contact with him and potentially exposed to the virus.

Deadly Lambda variant could be neutralizing vaccines, new study says

Deadly Lambda Covid-19 variant could be vaccine-resistant

As the US struggles to suppress the rapidly advancing coronavirus Delta variant, new evidence has emerged that the latest Lambda mutation — ravaging parts of South America — won’t be slowed by vaccines.

In a July 28 report appearing on bioRxiv, where the study awaits peer review prior to getting published, researchers in Japan are sounding the alarm on the C.37 variant, dubbed Lambda. And it’s proven just as virulent as Delta thanks to a similar mutation making them even more contagious.

The strain has been contained in 26 countries, including substantial outbreaks in Chile, Peru, Argentina and Ecuador.

“Notably, the vaccination rate in Chile is relatively high; the percentage of the people who received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine was [about] 60%,” the authors write.

“Nevertheless, a big COVID-19 surge has occurred in Chile in Spring 2021, suggesting that the Lambda variant is proficient in escaping from the antiviral immunity elicited by vaccination,” they warn.

The Lambda variant is thought to have emerged somewhere in South America between November and December 2020, and has since turned up in countries throughout Europe, North America and a few more isolated cases in Asia, according to GISAID data.

let's not paint the pharmas as an evil ogre all the time.
    if there were no pharmas,
you and i probably won't be here.
    heh heh.

    also,
today's covid vaccines can still turn into an ugly nightmare overnight for the manufacturers,
what with the EUA background in its inception.

    that's what trumpists/rightwingers always say

instead of promoting low cost treatment/prophylaxis like ivermectin, the medical establishment/big pharma promotes vaccines

coz there's no money to be made with a generic drug
