narinig ko sa tv kanina sabi pareho daw adeno 26 ang 1st dose ng sputnik and astra
nope
astra's viral vector is not adeno 26
it's a chimpanzee adenovirus kaya ChAdOx1 ang code name
Ch = chimpanzee
Ad = adenovirus
Ox = Oxford
only a minor difference
it's not a human adenovirus like ad26 (Sputnik 1st dose)
J&J also uses ad26

although last year sinabi ko ok ung J&J kasi single dose lang less hassle
now i think J&J is only equivalent to 1st dose Astra or 1st dose Sputnik
meron naman studies sabi effective ang J&J against delta pero di kasing effective ng mRNA
since wala pa formal approval for boosters, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital is giving "supplemental" mRNA vaccine to those who got J&J
they're not calling it "booster"
SF General Hospital to give supplemental mRNA vaccine to people who got J&J shot, why it'''s not called a "booster" - ABC7 San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Even though the CDC is not recommending a booster shot at this time, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and San Francisco's Department of Public Health have decided to allow an extra coronavirus vaccine for people who got the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The new dosing allowance seems to be unique to San Francisco. The hospital's chief of staff does not know of any similar guidance elsewhere at this time.
"It's not a booster because it's not specific for some of the variants, which the booster ultimately will be," said Dr. Chris Colwell, chief of emergency medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General.
On Monday, Dr. Colwell voted to allow the hospital's vaccine clinic to give a supplemental mRNA vaccine to somebody who had the J&J shot.
"Potential benefit, no downside. To me, as we look at the future of this virus and now we're facing a fourth surge, it does make sense," he explained.

Last week of October to early November daw ang dating. We were given 3 options: astra, unidentified vaccine pa in partnership with the Taguig and Mandaluyong LGU, or wait for Novavax.
For reasons related to my dad na hindi ko na idedetalye, I'm actually leaning towards waiting for Novavax.

First City to achieve Herd Immunity but they should report their cases in the next few months to see if Herd immunity is enough to fully reduce the cases of COVID in the city.
No country has the winning formula yet versus the Delta variant...

Yes San Juan needs a higher percentage but i think they will be the first city to achieve a close to a full 100% fully vaccinated residence and workers.
As such they can be an example or a basis of having a fully vaccinated City.
Their covid cases, hospitalization rate of resident plus the death rate after a close to 100% full vaccination will show how effective a fully vaccinated city is when fighting covid and its variants.
actually,
i intentionally refrained from commenting on the most important findings in the first x-ray.
la lang.
btw,
did anyone notice "manufacturer's mod--" on the second x-ray's upper right? ... demo plate?
the practice is done all the time in the medical profession, but a disclaimer to the effect is usually mentioned.
