pero pag dating sa gamot newer doesn't necessarily mean better

    for example celecoxib

because aspirin (cox-1 & 2 inhibitor) can cause gastrointestinal bleeding, pharma companies took away the component in aspirin that causes bleeding (cox-1 inhibition) leaving only the pain relieving component (cox-2 inhibition)

yun pala when you inhibit only cox-2 without inhibiting cox-1 it will make blood clot more easily which can cause heart attack and stroke

they only found out about that when celecoxib was already in market for many years

it was marketed as the safer pain reliever

    ok lang ung cvt transmission

kung mali choice mo bulsa lang naman sasakit

I was able to listen to parts of that interview by DZRH of Dr. Quijano. I think what he did wrong was unsubstantiated fear mongering, about the mRNA vax being deadlier than the disease. What I heard him say that I agree with though, is the use of Pfizer on the kids 12-17 yo. He did say that its use with the adults & elderly are ok because these are older subjects while the kids still had the rest of their lives. I was talking to my wife & I will probably wait & see what effect it has on that age group & probably choose Sinovac for my 13yo daughter first.

Thats whats called FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt). He could have just said, its currently under clinical study and then stopped. Then again he is already retired and no longer privy and up to date on new data and studies.

    beg pardon.
it's not because they are older and have lived their lives, and that children are younger And have still their lives ahead of them.

authorities at first did not recommend the vaccine to elder folks, because there were no studies yet on whether or not it is safe or advantageous for that age group.
but when studies to the effect became available, authorities readily gave the go signal.

    same with children.
but an added problem with children,
is that researchers generally are "timid" at conducting research on children.
    "universal taboo."

    bottomline,
covid vaccination on children may not be universally accepted yet, because there are no studies that say it is safe enough for them, or that they stand to benefit from them.
