That's good to know coz that's our company's vaccine pero August pa. I got a reservation for my dad if in case matagal pa yung sa LGU and I'm actually thinking of canceling it kasi 4k din haha pero with this info I might keep it.

My mom is a makatizen so inavail na niya yung Sinovac ng Makati lol.

First COVID-19 case could have emerged in China in Oct 219 — study | Inquirer News

"In a paper released in preprint form this week, Jesse Bloom of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle recovered deleted sequencing data from early COVID-19 cases in China.

The data showed that samples taken from the Huanan market were “not representative” of SARS-CoV-2 as a whole, and were a variant of a progenitor sequence circulating earlier, which spread to other parts of China.

The U.S. National Institutes of Health confirmed to Reuters that the samples used in the study were submitted to the Sequence Read Archive (SRA) in March 2020 and later deleted at the request of Chinese investigators, who said they would be updated and submitted to another archive.

Critics said the deletion was further evidence that China was trying to cover up the origins of COVID-19.

“Why would scientists ask international databases to delete key data that informs us about how COVID-19 began in Wuhan?” said Alina Chan, a researcher with Harvard’s Broad Institute, writing on Twitter."

SINGAPORE—At least 10 of the 26 doctors in Indonesia who died from Covid-19 this month had received both doses of the vaccine developed by Sinovac Biotech Ltd., a medical association said, raising questions about the Chinese-made shot that is being used in many parts of the developing world.

Indonesian authorities said last month that a retrospective study comparing how vaccinated and unvaccinated doctors in the capital, Jakarta, had fared against Covid-19 showed Sinovac’s shot was highly effective in preventing death. The study was conducted before the current wave of infections, which is being driven in part by the highly transmissible Delta variant of the virus, which contributed to a devastating surge in India. It isn’t known how many doctors who died in Indonesia this month were infected with that strain.

The deaths should prompt authorities to consider booster shots, said Jin Dong-Yan, a professor of molecular virology at the University of Hong Kong. Medical workers in Indonesia should be given another dose of Sinovac’s vaccine or of a U.S.-developed shot to ensure stronger protection, he said. Dr. Adib of the Indonesian Medical Association’s Covid-19 mitigation unit also said booster shots may be necessary, adding: “We don’t know how long the antibodies last.”

That’s the vax whereby the spike protein are cultured in moth cells and these (the spike protein) are injected directly instead of the mRNA teaching the cells to make the Covid spike protein. This is actually like a conventional vax but instead of the virus being injected, it’s the spike protein directly.

looks like their vaccine's effectiveness has a lot to do with that adjuvant

This is the newest one in the market & it looks good on paper but, it’s better to wait for what the long term effects are.

Most conventional vax side effects come from the adjuvants.

As I write this, manuf are definitely researching in developing vax for the Delta & most likely Brazil variant also.

The deaths in Indonesia affected doctors & not regular people, which prompted a suggestion to give doctors a booster dose earlier than planned.
