Delta has changed a lot of things dahil sa viral load nya.
Bumaba virus resistance ng vaxxed kaya need to mask up again and they can transfer the virus.
At least the US CDC observed it and advised the world about it early.

Local hospitals natin have observed that 90-98% of admitted cases are unvaxxed.
Less than 10% din are kids 18 yo and younger.

I hope my Paulinian friend's niece doesn't have covid because she has fever. My friend's Mom got her positive result on August 7. My friend takes care of her Mom and last night (August 9), she was not feeling well na rin. What is amazing is her Dad is perfectly fine e up until her Mom got the diagnosis they were sleeping in the same bed

During the lockdown and towards the end of 2020, i tried getting some first hand information from the people i know who got covid.
Most of them was cooperative in telling the truth and seem to point to several instances where they might have gotten it.
All of them seem to have had 1 common factor.
They had put down the mask one time or another while outside their homes and inside enclosed space. Most of them to eat or drink, some to scratch a itchy nose/face.
I also had a few 2nd hand accounts of seniors not going out yet getting covid due to maids/drivers who are the ones infecting the seniors.

That is why when I go out I NEVER remove my mask. Basta I wear my mask before I get in my car leaving home and I take it off only when I get home, careful to touch only the elastics and throw it at the garbage outside our home. Kaya kahit mahilo ako sa gutom at uhaw, if I get home in the evening, that means no water and food intake the whole day. Until now our labandera does not report for work pero yung all around namin, he does but he works outside. Sometimes may short interaction samin but he wears a mask naman and us also.

I've been seeing articles that kids now are getting hospitalized because of covid whereas before hindi naman common yung ganun cases. Yung close friend ko has a 2 year old inaanak na meron covid ngayon.

Nakakatakot nga na even the young ones tinatamaan na. I was not too worried for all those below 18 kasi hindi ba those in their teens, sila yung peak health at malakas ang immune system. Pero yun mga batang bata talaga ang nakaka worry (esp below 7)

when i saw posts/photos in May/June re Israel returning to normal i wanted to comment that they're celebrating too early

well, they celebrated too early

countries shouldn't declare victory over covid just coz they got their own cases down

as long as other countries are experiencing outbreaks sooner or later dadating sa kanila yan

when India was experiencing the surge in Apr/May other countries were like "that's India's problem"

I don’t really read everything about Israel but maybe they weren’t so diligent about controlling their borders. The delta made it’s way in through their citizens or tourists coming from known (or not) places where Delta may have sprouted. In fact, when the Philippines decided to repatriate Pinoys in India but ban tourists, I felt uneasy about it.

Well, they should advise against the use of cloth masks and the blue surgical masks. Even double masking with those is useless with the delta.
The blue surgical masks were meanth to prevent doctors from contaminating & infecting patients during procedures but with gaps all around, air gets into the mask from the sides. Besides, those masks were meanth to be used only for 30 minutes.

We never learned remember wuhan? I myself thought that it will not spread like wildfire and will be just wuhan or china but look what happened.

If it kills fast and quick then this means it will not go to a new host so will this be the end of covid-19? other viruses kills fast and quick and the virus quickly dissipated.

problem is hindi sustainable ang closed borders

Though closing borders and tracking down every covid case inside will get you to your zero covid goal (and praise from international media) but once you open your borders the virus comes back (hi Australia)

no country can seal itself off from the rest of the world forever

but we have a lot of vaccinated people that delta doesn't kill but have high viral load and can transmit the virus

Precisely. If you ask an Epidemiologist how to keep a disease out, keeping everyone in & keeping everyone out is the simplest solution but, this is not practical & sustainable. IMO, Israel, a military state, is still going in the right direction. Vax everyone & make life difficult for resisters.

Yup. Yung bestfriend ng tito ko namatay din dahil sa covid kahit may vaccine na siya ng j&j. turns out na a little over a week palang yung vaccine at may iba pa siyang health issues.

Before kids immune system does not react but now with delta variant kids immune system tend to over react is this what's happening right now with kids who got infected? and it affects their heart based from fb post that I have read.
