The toilet fan is for the smell I believe. It was not known then when it was invented that fecal aerosol could be that smelly-deadly if combined with a virus such as this, no pun intended.

lahat ng workboat/workbarge accommodation namin are having the evac vacuum toilet system.
so, i'm guessing that cruise liners are having the same evac vacuum toilet system too. i believe this will help to lessen the fecal aerosol (parang sa eroplano) dahil pahigop sya. kaya ang aking habit, flush muna several times habang nakaupo pa ako sa bowl.

ewan ko lang kung nakakatulong yung toilet/bathroom nya na walang vent, just pure air from the HVAC system. kaya after a hot shower laging damped ang bathroom lalo na yung mirror.
pag infected ang isang tao with covid-19, the fecal aerosol produced during the discharge of human waste will be limited in the same toilet/bathroom.
malaking posibilidad pala na babalik ulit yung virus sa kanyang katawan.

Bad blood between the two will not easily disappear overnight. It will take time to heal the wonds -- probably years or decades. They just have to accept things as they are in the meantime. No use for each side to overthink it.

Yes bro. Old design I suppose. But even without the knowledge of infection from fecal aerosol I appreciate a toilet that pulls exhaust away from the face.

This helps with the smell, but probably not with pathogens

SoKor's old international airport in Gimpo (Seoul) is used by domestic flights and (international) flights to and from Japan, China and Taiwan.

They have not banned travels to/from China early enough compared to its other Asian neighbors...
