The victim was a female resident in Milan’s Lombardy region, ANSA said. Her reported death comes hours after a 78-year-old man died overnight near Padua, in the nearby Veneto region.

Lombardy, Italy’s financial and industrial heart, is the most stricken region with 27 cases.

Italy was the first euro zone country to suspend all direct flights to and from China, provoking the ire of the Beijing government. It took the decision after two Chinese tourists from Wuhan tested positive in Rome in late January.

Maybe it's just someone who can't distinguish between Chinese and Japanese. Are Asian-French and Japanese have been really targeted or the twitter poster just painted a bulls eye mark on those races?

Quarantine of repatriated Pinoys from Wuhan ends today | Philstar.com

"According to DOH Assistant Secretary Ma. Rosario Vergeire, everything is ready for the 30 repatriates’ send-off ceremony.

Also to be released from quarantine are the 19 members of the repatriation team, from the DOH and Department of Foreign Affairs, six plane crewmembers, and three ground crew operators.

Vergeire noted that none of these individuals had manifested signs and symptoms of fever, cough or sore throat associated with coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) during their 14-day stay. Because of this, they will now be allowed to go back to their respective homes and places."

Tapos sa 15th day pala nag manifest mga symptoms.

Anyhow, i've been to Changi thrice and once in Suvarnabumi in a span of 2 months, wala pa naman akong nararamdamang kakaiba.

Meron pa akong 7 days to wait and see if nahawaan ba talaga ako. 🤣

Coronavirus incubation could be as long as 27 days, Chinese provincial government says - Reuters

SHANGHAI (Reuters) - A 70-year-old man in China’s Hubei Province was infected with coronavirus but did not show symptoms until 27 days later, the local government said on Saturday, meaning the virus’ incubation period could be much longer than the presumed 14 days.

Some experts are actually pointing out that 14 days is not enough anymore. Seems the incubation period of the virus is at least 21 days. I've also observed that less and less Filipinos are wearing masks outside. Dunno if that's good or bad, just an observation.

One part of me "likes" that there is no increase in the number of cases here, but another part of me is saying that maybe the Inter-Agency Task Force handling this situation is remiss in their duties. Only time will tell, but I do hope we're really all OK here.

I said this earlier, 3 "curses" on this country this year --

    1) Taal Eruption (Alert 2 is welcome, but still not over)
    2) Virus outbreak (ongoing, verdict still pending)
    3) Water crisis (come this summer).

    What a mess.

Yes we can make some comparative estimate based on populatuon density to best calculate how fast the infection could spread. Theoritically that is.

the 2% death rate everyone keeps citing is based on china's official number of infected and deaths which are not reliable to begin with

SK's numbers will be more reliable
