No free press either. No free press, no media report, no virus outbreak, no problem :p

Read a Bloomberg report about a possible oral-fecal route:

Fecal Transmission May Be Behind Coronavirus’s Rapid Spread

"A virus-laden aerosol plume emanating from a SARS patient with diarrhea was implicated in possibly hundreds of cases at Hong Kong’s Amoy Gardens housing complex in 2003."
    aerosol plume = utot

"Squat latrines, common in China, lacking covers and hands that aren’t washed thoroughly with soap and water after visiting the bathroom, could be a source of virus transmission, said Nicholls, who was part of the research team that isolated and characterized the SARS virus."

tanga talaga ung 14 day quarantine ng ship

ung di pa nahawa hinayaan nila mahawa

anong purpose ng 14 day quarantine?

para lumabas ang symptoms ng mga wala pa symptoms

eh pano ung mga hindi pa nahawa at nahawa within the quarantine period?

like say nahawa 7 days before the end of the 14-day quarantine

so pinalabas mo ung mga walang symptoms thinking they passed the quarantine

yun pala bagong hawa lang wala pa symptoms

    when one is quarantined,
it is made sure that one may not infect anyone, nor may one get infected by anyone.
my personal issue here is, "what if the virus manifests itself past the 14 days?"

comment nga ng isang doktor that they didn't really quarantine *within* the ship. nakihalubilo ung infected with the general pop. di mo naman maiwaisang mainip mga tao, they'll surely roam around.

i believe the medical term is sharting -- combination sh_ting and farting :D One time i entered one of our toilets...looked like a shart-bomb exploded mid-air.

yes meron nga report more than 2 weeks ang incubation niyan

    ---

ship started with a few cases only (less than 10?)

so they quarantined the whole ship thinking everyone is infected

para hindi mahawa mga nasa land (oo gets ko yan)

after 14 days, those few cases became hundreds

then they let out the asymptomatic passengers who could already be infected

so parang nag breed ka lang ng mas madami carrier during the quarantine period and you release them

    S. Korea considers raising alert level over coronavirus | Yonhap News Agency

Would be interesting if SK can force one of their Cities to do a quarantine... Daegu's population is 2.5 million.

Yes it was a bad and illogical move from the start. Ok quarantine if personnally seclyded.from each other.

Eh ayan nasa isang malaking room lang techically.

Our suppliers are also feeling the effects of China virus. So our sales are now affected as well. Haysss. Sana may solution na in the near future. If this goes on till April, kamatis na.

Some products kasi with plastic wraps and polybags are also China sourced.

Akala ko plastics at least lahat dito manufactured. Tsk.

Aside from naked farts, fecal aerosol is probably the toilet plume from not closing the lid when flushing after doing #2.

With fecal aerosol, condos and high rise apartments are a big problem. Papano mo iquarantine mga yun eh ang dami.

Libre air purifier at bleach/lysol na lang. Buhos agad after doing the dirty deed.

-Japan and Singapore are on the brink of recession and South Korea said on Friday its exports to China slumped in the first 20 days of February as the outbreak upends global supply chains.

    - Japan’s factory activity suffered its steepest contraction in seven years in February, as the widening fallout from the coronavirus outbreak in China reinforced the risk of a recession in the world’s third-largest economy.
