wow...biglang dumami ang mga new posters.

Let's just make it clear, the problem is uneven height. Not really a safety issue, but it just looks ugly cause it's slanted (but sometimes it's un-noticed).

Squeking sound, this can be fixed with a silencer that can be installed for free. (Read the other pickup threads, they experienced this as well).

Now, sadly or not, most of the new trucks are coming out from Plants in Thailand, could it be a quality issue? That is something we have to see in the future.

Most owner's are satisfied with their pickup, but as you all know, manufacturers cannot please everyone.

I suggest when you are ready to buy, take a look at different pick-ups, test drive them, look at every nity grity, then at the end of the day, decide which vehicle fits YOU.

Now, just thinking out loud, could it be that we have problem on suspension or steering because our units are left hand driven instead of Thailand base / UK base / Australia base that are right hand driven? What other countries have left hand driven Strada/L200/Triton? Do they have suspension or steering problem?

Maganda nga if meron tayo statistics to prove if talaga panget ang strada. I guess if given the time, i'll ask bonified members of the club what they have experienced sa truck nila. At least with that, meron tayo mga numbers to take a look at.

lahat namn yan warranty hassle lng nasa casa nanamn car ko. pano kung isa lng car edi commute sana ako..

may question ako mga bossing, nabili ko strada ko last june 2007 and tinakbo palang nya is nasa 12,500+km. problem is sabi sa diamond motor na kelangan ko na mag change ng brake shoe and brake lining!! eh 1yr palang tsikot ko ang bilis namn mauubos ako pa namn yung tao nde mahilig tumapak ng brake. hinde ba covered ng warranty yun? mahal din kse. nasa 9200 ang singil sa akin. i know kasama yan sa wear and tear pero in 1yr ubos na parang mali eh

    guys, i need your feedback.

i had my mind set on getting the 2008 mitsubishi strada gls 4x4 unit. however, after having heard about the problems you guys encountered with it, i am certainly having reservations now.

what i want to know is, which model has uneven height, noisy breaks, etc issues? with regards to the uneven height problem, is it that noticeable, or would an untrained eye not be aware of the problem?

i never had a car before, and this is the first time i was seriously contemplating buying one. basically, ung gamit ko lang naman nun is for city-driving from school to work. undeniably, it is the best-looking pick-up in the market right now, and the best deal considering 4x4 na siya with all those nifty features for just P1.09M.

so bottomline is, is it still worth buying? or should i consider taking a look at the isuzu 4x2 dmax? baka kasi sobrang magastos niya sa repairs. i just want a car that's reliable, and low maintenance. if mitubishi strada can't be it for me, then i guess i have no other choice but to consider isuzu dmax...

i would really appreciate ur opinion, both good and bad. thank you in advance

IMO, The strada is a very dependable and a great value for money, bang for your buck truck.

However, do not be misled of what you guys read here in the threads. It just happens na very open and frank ang mga posters dito sa Strada thread.
And I beleive the intention of making all observed problems known to everybody is to help others to avoid if not completely prevent these problems.

Welcome to the Strada thread, Man Kiw. Mine is a 2008 GLS Sport. The only problem I had encountered is noisy leaf springs. Casa knows about this problem so they're ordering silencer kits for my springs.

Regarding steering vibrations, personally I don't see it as a defect as I am not bothered with it. I have a Sorento and a Swift and I really cannot say that the Strada's steering is very much different from these two. Some say that the Strada is bumpy. Again, comparing it to my other two vehicles, I actually find the Strada's ride better than the Sorento and the handling is also better than the Sorento.

Not all posters here in this thread are members of the strada club. Meaning, we could not really ascertain if all the complaints posted here are real, exaggerated, imagined or a product of mishandling from the owner himself. And since this is the internet, a poster may also be a poser. That is the reason why one of the requirements for membership to the club is for the other members to physically see the new member and his strada by attending and actively participating in any of the club activities.

Now going on to the technical problems. While there maybe verified complaints from a few bonafide members of the club regarding their rides, majority of the members are very satisfied with their stradas. Furthermore, the lawyers of the club could not validly initiate filing a demand letter, as you suggested, without the conformity of the member having complaints. The club has no personality to act in behalf of a member without an express authority to do so. If any of our club members will seek the help of the club, through the latter's lawyers, I am very positive that the said request would be granted. To date, no member is being ignored because there is no request channeled through the club.
Very well said sir! I think all complaints here are answered and some problems are given solutions and you're right sir, maybe if we try another truck, it will fail our standards...

These problems have solutions, other also have problems. Some truck owners modify their truck and so i guess modifying or changing some parts to improve our ride, well maybe solve our little problems.

check it for urself kung talagang papalitin na brake shoe and lining. i doubt it sir. if urs is a manual transmission matagal yan, even with an automatic palagay ko it would last more than a year. as of my experience sa rav4 1st gen. 1 1/2 year ako bago nagpalit, its automatic and baler-baguio ang most na byahe non, and stayed in baguio for a long time, i had been using it since college days(those where the days, hehehe...) baguio pa yun sir ha, as in todo ang prenohan. kaya sir, watch out. might as well check it for yourself, o baka napakanipis lang talaga ng stock na brake shoe at lining.

about problems pa, very mild lang naman ito, warning sound dont know where its coming from, cguro its like parang sa prob ni sir siomai sa tpms. eto naman warning sound but theres nothing going on. palagay ko due to faulty wiring, coz nung nilabas namin unit theres no signal lights and hazard, agen due to faulty wiring bumigay ang fuse, buti naman nakita ung grounded. and already fix. sa warning sound 2x ko pa lang narinig during travel, baka daw tpms. observe ko daw muna further. as of now wala pa naman.

I totally agree sir with your comment.

For the rest, i still haven't received your experienced with your truck. Please see previous post. I know some here have posted their problem, but I need more information so I can forward it to MMPC.

Im giving this until end of the month, then whatever emails I would get, those will be forwarded.

yep sirv8or5, minor lang namn.. regarding sa overall performance ok pa dn sya. malakas humatak, yung mga parts lng ang hindi ako satisfied. before frontier pickup ko for 4years, hindi ako nagpalit ng brake lining ni minsan. i guess manipis nga siguro. pero yung gls namin 22tkm na ang tinakbo hindi pa din nag palit. sa akin kase gamit o sa province. masyado maputik and mabuhangin.

    hello to everybody.

i only used my car for only a month since i buy my new strada. no fault so far experienced. share ko lang po if anybody experience while passing a water pot in the road while traveling at about 80km/hr and hit those water...at a sudden my windshield was deluge with water and visibility totally zero for at least 3 or 4 seconds.

worried lang po me if something comes in my front on that time. an accident surely will happens.

are any attachments or improvements can prevent water to splash in my windshield?

Appreciated any suggestion about my problem.

    Salamat po.

yeah, it's because of our HT tires, even * 40-60kph and you hit some water on the road, you will have zero visibility....

I also experienced this on my nissan eagle when i use HT tires, but when i changed to AT then its not a problem..

    The only problem is, 270/70/r16 michellin A/T tires cost 9k x 4 = 36k

I just need more budget to change my tires...

I experienced that a lot of times especially during the past rainy days and I intentionally pass by flooded roads to get that splash on my windshield . I already applied rain repellant on my windshield and it helps clear the water on my windshield quickly with the help of the wiper blades. A large splash though doesn't get cleared immediately and had to slow down as I can't see the road ahead of me. It needs two passes of the wiper blades to get the windshield cleared, that's around 2 seconds zero visibility. It does get dangerous when I can't see what's ahead of me so I just slow down till the windshield gets cleared. I don't think there are gadgets that can prevent water from splashing unto the windshield. I may be wrong though.

yes... you are correct with the A/T

H/T- highway terrain- this came stock with your strada GLX
M/T- mud terrain - mabagsik po ito - the tread design is monstrous... ganito yung kay docglen- i think.

the benefits of the A/T tire is added traction in normal conditions especially if you are frequently driving in uneven road/trails. the grove design of the A/T are wider and deeper side-to-side while H/T indicates car-like designs.

this has been a discussed thread also, feel free to back read anytime...
