Just puzzled on whats the issue with splashing of water and zero visibility for a few seconds? For sure its a safety issue..but is'nt it the same case or situation sa mga sedans, AUV's and SUV's? Or is this phenomena only observed sa pickup? specifically the strada?

It is but Normal for water splashing on your windshield when driving carelessly fast on a bulk of standing water. Just slow down before hitting those waters.

I REALLY DIDN'T HAVE THESE KIND OF PROBLEMS WHEN I HAD MY GEN 2 STRADA SERVICED AT 20T KMS. AND UNTIL NOW 135T KMS I COULD BARELY HEAR A RATTLING SOUND, UNEVEN STANCE NOR VIBRATION DESPITE USING 275 TIRES EVEN I GO OFFROAD KC MAY FARM AKO. I'M JUST CURIOUS TO KNOW.. I KNOW THAT THE CURRENT STRADA MODELS ARE NOW ASSEMBLED IN THAILAND AND W/ A VERY POOR QUALITY CONTROL I SHOULD FRANKLY SAY..SAAN BA ANG GEN 2 ASSEMBLED I THINK THAILAND DN!..AM I RIGHT? BUT Y IT DIDN'T GIVE THAT KIND OF PROBLEM(GEN 3) THAT SEEMS TO BE CONSIDERED A LEMON CAR IF WE IN THE PHILS. DO HAVE THAT LAW APPROVED? GOOD I WAITED A LITTLE BIT OR ELSE I BOUGHT THIS CRAP VEHICLE! I STRONGLY SUGGEST BUYERS THAT HAVE THE INTENT TO BUY PLS HOLD UNTIL PROBLEMS SOLVED!!! AND THAT WAY MITSUBISHI WILL DO SOMETHING ASAP.. I AM A MITSUBISHI AND TOYOTA ENTHUSIAST BUT I ALWAYS SAY NOT ALL MODELS THEY MANUFACTURED ARE GOOD QUALITY! TIPS IN BUYING NEW CARS WAIT UNTIL THE NEW MODEL CAR HITS 50T MILES THEN CONSIDER REVIEWS! MILLION pesos IS NOT THAT EASY TO FIND. NO OFFENSE.

My rig doesnt possess these problems or yet to produce these problems.

Thank you very much Sir ooba99! Meron naman dito, Fast Autoworld has a branch in Tagbilaran City. I'll remember the thing about the tire pressure sensors being in the "pito".

Sir Shizen, "SAF" simply means SAFE, that is, all your tires including the reserve is in the allowable pressure state.

There is nothing much to it except that it reports that tire pressure status and temperature of your tires upon start up and continuously monitors it while being driven. It will sound off if there is a rapid decrease in pressure, with the monitor indicating which tire is affected.

The sensor is located at the "pito" and remotely (wirelessly) connected to the monitor. Remember that the orientation of the sensors are specific and you just cannot rotate your tires by yourself without you adjusting the monitor. When doing a rotation, it will be best that you have it done at the casa (may casa ba sa Bohol?). They know what to do, I suppose. Paturo ka na rin sa casa how to do it, in case you have to DIY the tire rotation. Or probably a knowledgeable strada owner here can share how to do it.

I remember I have a TPMS manual, but I can't seem to locate it now. Sa mga club members na merong manual ng TPMS, baka pwedeng ma-scan at ma-upload ang file copy sa strada club yahoo group. TIA.

Got my Strada M/T this May 2008. Now registering 2200+km on the odo. I like the shape or design of its body though some may find it odd, the engine displacement is larger than its counterpart which is very torquey at low rpm (I usually just lift the clutch and go, on 1st gear), the interior space is large especially the rear and importantly, it is priced competitively.

That's ok, no problem. Probably, we are discussing a situation from both a different perspective. I also have experienced that situation several times. I know what you mean by "zero visibility". But no use discussing it here because that will be out of topic. Probably, when I get to visit Cotabato City in December we can have an EB and continue this friendly discussion, hehehe. Friendly, ha? Remember, I spent my childhood days there, I'm also a Cotabateño.

Of course, there is no substitute to being extra careful under that situation. And as sir siomai said, simply use your windshield wiper.

how i wish we could invite those politicians with their strada , as far i'm concern there's a group of strada owners who gather together in a certain place here.... but i'm not interested.. you knew what i mean and i only use my strada during out of town trips..

ive ridden on both, but haven't driven the 4x4. so far my observations are, i dont see a big difference. only that you have the option to have 4x4. the ride seems to be the same, stance are almost the same, handling are almost the same...what i meant was.if you put the same tires on glx as with gls same handling..fuel..would be + on glx less weight..power + on glx less weight.

if i look at the specs on the brochure..its practically the same components.

I would like to ask queries about water/alcohol injection kits. Anybody from the strada owners here experience installing one on your ride. If ever did your fuel consumption change.
How about my engine warranty? Is it became void after I install it.

one member has...please check the strada modification thread. anything you install on your vehicle that wasnt there originally will void your warranty...yan po ang rule of thumb.

yezzir yan rin fraustrations ko. kaya nga 2008 ko binili ang something na lumabas late 2006. 6260km palang odometer reading ko and i've experienced all these problems. if i-question naman ang driving ko or what not, i still have my '89 toyota 4runner, matanda na ang engine and kalawang na siya but it still works. nakakahatak pa ako ng boat and jetskis and ayos pa lahat. i also drive a subic na toyota lc fj80 and may kalawang na siya, the engine's a turbo diesel and orig right hand drive siya pero salamat naman pero the parts are still more reliable. pwede sabihin na biased dahil toyota naman and hindi mitsu but we have a gen2 pajero and super mas maganda pa ang status ng suspension and steering niya kesa sa what my strada has gone through. even my father's '79 hilux ay buo parin at sinasakyan ng mga troso! our innova ng pang service ng mom ko ay buo parin but it's made in thailand, same engine halos and it's still doing better than my strada. pms lang kinailangan niya. ang strada ko labas pasok sa diamond c5 and sa winterpine. i was leaning onto getting a navarra sana but when i saw the unit mas na-bilib ako sa strada and maganda lang ang navarra sa picture (no offense kanya-kanyang taste) and pag nakaharap lang. ang hassle lang talaga. oh well i've decided to keep the strada muna but if magsira sira ulit siya i will have it repaired and then sell it habang active pa ang warranty niya. sa sobrang daming sira ng strada ko now estimated sa mga receipts ko na 70k+ na ang nagagastos and that's screwed up for a 7 month old truck. in the future, i do not want to spend that much and more just to maintain something which has been breaking down since the beginning. my uncle naka mitsubishi mighty max pa na single cab until now gumagana parin and it performs good for a '77er! well sana nga reliable na mga kinabit and inayos sakin ng mitsubishi coz i'm giving this truck one last chance.

Ask ko lang, sir astec, tungkol sa bike rack/holder/fastener, can that be installed on the truck bed? I have seen some pictures of trucks where the bike rack is on the bed. May model din kaya ang Thule na ganon? Thanks.
