mike, I am not an expert at this, but this is my opinion.

what was the KM reading of your odometer when your unit was released to you? although we know they can disconnect this, we can just assume they dont practice this, so if your KM is less than 100km, assume that it's not a test demo.

Next, I have to check my ride if i have those bolts as you mentioned. again, we i am assuming that our units have past the quality that is needed as CBU. what you can do is always compare it with other strada with the same variant as your vehicle. although we know QA is as good as the person checking it, we know that sometimes palpak sya.

i hope other owner's with technical background can help you further.

Sir mike18, waste no time in returning your unit to the dealership and complain. Dapat naka-fasten yang mga u-bolts mo. May taint of negligence yang case mo. They should fix that to your satisfaction. San mo nakuha strada mo, sir? Kelan at ilan na odo reading?

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Strict quality control is still one desirous trait that eludes MMPC.
But in fairness, in my opinion, they have improved, still..... not optimal though.

January 7, 2008 ko ito nakuha sa Diamond Motor Quezon Ave. 7k km pa lang odo reading.

nung nirelease ng Diamond Motor, Quezon Ave sakin to nasa 50-60 km approximate. sabi nga nung nakausap ko agent dinidisconnect lang nila yung sa odometer while transporting kung ginagamit sa test drive.

contented nako sa GLS namin... okay pa rin ang takbo kahit nasa 160kph (no sweat)... gusto ko pa sana i push sa 180 pero wawa naman ang strada...


may nararamdaman pala akong lagutok sa steering... pag straight yung gulong tapos mag i steer to the left (full turn), sa unang rotation ng steering wheel may tunog at nafifeel na "tok" "tok"... isa pa kapag mag i steer ulit to the left at paakyat, meron din...sa rough road naman, should I suppose to feel vibrations sa steering wheel? patag yung daan at walang lubak lubak... di lang sementado... steering column na ba problem? 13+++ kms na odo reading...


yung case ni sir mike18.... diko ito napapansin samin kung meron o wala...

hay daming kailaingang basahin!!! di pa ako nagpapalit ng uniform eto na agad inatupag ko...

it doesnt matter kung walng bolts ang mga nasa picture. the dealer might have removed it so that the leafs could move freely so that it will not make a noise. sometimes we also do these to other cars if the leafs are noisy.

so ibig sabihin mas maganda pa pala pag walang bolts? may sqeaking sound na ung leaf spring ko, mas iingay pala pag palalagyan ko ng bolts? hindi ba sha dangerous according sa article?

Sigurado ako steering column problem yan. Ganyan din complaints ng mga nagpalit na ng steering column. Same w/ my Strada. After mapalitan, ok na sya. Just have it checkd by your SA to confirm. For sure, they'll try some tightening pero if it persists, steering column change talaga kailangan nyan.

Hi sir ARB, that's a reassuring statement. Thanks. But I wonder why it is there in the first place. I checked mine and all the u-bolts are with locks.

If this is the case, the least that the casa should have done is to inform the buyer that they did so and state the reason. So, I feel, may pagkukulang pa rin yung dealer. And this may be an area where they can improve. Most of the buyers are not familiar with these mechanisms, and that includes me. Oh well, so much about TQM.

Will continue to monitor the development of this case of mike18 and hope to learn from it.

Thats quite an interesting thing which mike18 found. I hope that U bracket there is only to keep things aligned and not really to hold those leafs down.

The prices are as follows: front plate (oil sump) Php8.8th, mid plate (tranny) Php 4th, rear plate (propeller shaft & axle housing) Php 8.8th. I would talk to the owner of DZ once I get the list, cut-off would be April 25 / 10 pm (Friday).

meron napindot yung driver namin nung pinalinis ko yung strada ko and now every few minutes or random every ilang oras bigla bigla naga-alarm. minsan 3 long chirps lang and minsan naman all out alarm talaga. how can i stop this? please help. thank you!

san at ano yung napindot? ung maliit na switch ba malapit sa pintuan[driver side] ? di siya madaling makita kailangan pa ng extra effort... yung ganun samin pinakialaman ko, pinindot ko ng matagal nag chirp yung strada...
