I think there's a problem in the quality control in Thailand for the export units if Dadz says that the local units there have almost no problems.

So far, the only part that was replaced in my unit was the steering column which was replaced about 15k kms ago and is still functioning well. I'm wondering why the new batches still have this problem since they already know what's wrong.

My leaf spring squeaks have eventually disappeared.

Regarding the harsher ride, my theory is that the shock absorbers, particularly the front, are not sturdy. When my unit was new, I didn't feel this at all. But after several months, the front suspension has become bumpy. Generally, there's always performance fade of the stock shocks after 10k kms. One solution that I see is to replace the shocks with aftermarket ones.

Thicker tires will always provide better grip and looks but there are also downsides. One is heavier unsprung weight resulting to more rebound to the suspension, thus, making the ride harsher. To counter this, one has to buy lightweight mags.

havent tried measuring my stradas left and right height level pa, i hope di uneven yung truck namin.

btw ano po ba yung normal na uneven measurement sa strada? accurate ba talaga na level na level? or ok lng yung tig 1-2 inches?

sa left and right lang ba or sa front and back din may ganito na problem? will try to check tomorrow kasi,.

Fellow BOSB's Here is how to check if the color coding of your front Coil spring is correct... It must be White Orange.. IF not all dealer will replace this..This is also written to Sir apollo_kapka receipt... Hope this information will help....

It does seem na yung problem with non-level height (incorrect springs) are very common. From my personal opinion, after all this replacements, MMPH should be already aware of this and ensure that all trucks leaving the factories should be inspected again.

I am not too happy that MMPH is only waiting until owners complain about it. .

nope request pa nila mga pyesa... sa citimotors dn ako makati.. pa check ko nga ulit sakyan ko... nakakadismaya naman.. ang daming defect strada natin. sa akin steering ko maingay nanaman, and yung clutch may squeaking sound dn..

nagawa ninyo na ba assignment ninyo? If only one person complains or forward their feedback, it will not go too far...it's best if many would let them (MMPC) know the problem of the Strada. Regardless if your unit is working or not..it is best that they are informed of what is going around with their quality issue.

HI All - havent logged on for quite awhile. im quite surprised marami narin nakakapansin mga issues sa strada natin. may big fat juicy issues ako with my truck and with with Diamond Motors Marcos hway.
to start with:

A. as mentioned by av8or5, i too have all these defects on my truck(sadly).
1. Uneven height of the Strada.
2. Noise on steering wheel.
3. Squeeking sounds coming from the rear suspension.
4. Makulit the steering wheel and feeling major imperfection from the road.- this specially during speed of 80kmh up, the steering wheel shakes crazily.
5. Some sound when you press the clutch - sound here is like air coming out of a deflating balloon.
6. Wiper is noisy - screechy
7. Breaks screechy high pitch sound.
8. natry nyo na baung powersteering failure? To test for the fault be in first gear 2-3000 RPM and quickly turn the wheel half a turn one way then quickly back. The power steering drops out on the return everytime. Mechanic went oh S*** when he tried it. Turns out he idled around an empty car park for 5 minutes but couldnt get it to fail. Give the test a go as interested how many others have the fault. Reading passed posts there may be quite a few.

B.1. Three weeks ago, nsa Diamond Motors Marcos Hway ako. Late in the afternoon, tinawag ako nung isang Mitsu Mechanic and sabi nya magtest drive daw kami para tignan kung meron pa ung mga complaints ko. While on the road test, (humahataw siya), may nabangga kami na white Honda Civic. So pumunta kami ng Pulis para mablotter yung incident. to find out also na naka students permit lang ung Mitsu Driver who is already 10years ++ sa company (diamond motors marcos hway). buti nalng minor damage lang ung sa truck ko - minor = a few scratches, misalignment ng bumper, and no dents. ung plate number ko though dented talaga. so proven na matigas ung bumper natin.

B.2. kinausap ko ung manager (PM me kung gusto nyo malaman ung name nya) and we came to an agreement na aayusin nila lahat ng defects nung truck ko and i wont file any cases against them. So iniwan ko ng 3 days ung sasakyan ko.

B.3. to my disappointment, lahat ng items mentioned in case A andun parin. after a week bumalik ako dun and told him of my dissatisfaction. The manager must think im stupid because he keeps telling me na normal daw mga yun and that ung squeeky suspensions caused lang nung humps sa road na ni-try namin kasi abnormal condition daw un. sabi ko, "pickup truck ito diba? and its supposed to be able to take road imperfections even worse than a hump.". He even raised his voice on me while inside the car, with 2 of his mechanics sa likod. the nerve. Im due to go back there tomorrow = saturday july 19 to get everything fixed again. Im quite disappointed with all the imperfections im having on my truck. Im still hopeful na ndi Lemon Car ito though.

C. What can we do to address these issues? it looks like its getting more common already. My SA suggested to her embarassment kung gusto ko daw lumipat ng casa. sabi ko i dont think changing casa's would help kung di rin naman nila iaddress ung issue.

5. Some sound when you press the clutch (crackling sound if my memory serves me correct); Especially when your letting out the clutch slowly while engaged on 1st gear or other low gears and moving slowly.

Na check ko yung color coding ng coil spring ko, napansin ko yung FLH and FRH pareho lang ng kulay white/green? bakit kaya ganun? wala ako makita na color orange or red? tapos ung leafspring ko naman baligtad din, ung kanan + ung mark and - naman ung left. Sobrang torture na ng strada ko sa kapapagawa sa casa, halos dun na nakatira itong sasakyan ko dahil hindi nila maayos-ayos ung mga problema, kada labas ng casa ng strada ko laging may dumadagdag na problema, original na complain ko dalawa lang, (leafspring squeeking sound, and rattling noise sa transmission), ngayon dumagdag pa ng steering vibration, uneven height, hardshifting sa first and second gear, engine noise(kapag nag rev ako parang may maluwag na tornilyo), tsaka sobrang ingay ng aircon compresor, four times na nila nababa ung transmission at three times na nila pinapalitan ung leafspring ko, hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin nila makita kung saan ung problema. Ang masama pa dito wala ako choice kung saan dealer ko ipapagawa ung sasakyan, sila dapat ang masusunod kung saan ko dapat dalhin. Mismong head na ng service ng MMPC nakausap ko(MR. DAVE DOCTOR) pero wala rin nangyayari, laging sinasabi sa amin ipa-evaluate muna bago nila gawan ng action, more than 30 times(6 months na) na nila na-evaluate ung strada ko up to this time nasa evaluation process pa rin daw ung sasakyan ko, SOP daw kac nila yung evaluation.

I feel saddened that such a very beautiful truck will have lots of issues from different owners who paid fair and square for a brand new vehicle and yet they are facing such issues. The point of buying a new car is to prevent repairs or inconveniences for at least a 4 years and yet I noticed those problems are already problems of an old car. I hope these issues will be solved as soon as possible so that owners and potential buyers will not lose confidence in the product or in the company itself.

BOSBs, I'm experiencing some defects on our Strada.
- Squeking sound on the rear suspension
- Kapag binitiwan mo yung manibela, kumakabig sa kanan yung sasakyan
- The TPMS always sounds its low pressure alert on the spare tire even though the spare tire's pressure is at 29 psi.

We're planning to have them checked at Diamond Fairview during its 20,000 km PMS.

Mga Bossing may question lang ako. kung nabili ko ba ang car ko sa citimotors makati and gusto ko mag pa service and repair sa diamond motors dito sa q.ave pwede ba? hay galing lng ako ng province.. maingay na clutch ko, tapos steering column nag loko nanaman.. tapos meron maingay nde ko sure saan yun parang fanbelt na malapit na bumigay.. nakakadismaya na talga tong strada sayang lng talga. pang porma lang.

hello sir Nismo. now you know the things ive been complaining about my ride. Infact i have already exhausted all means to present the problem to Mitsu.. and they have been kind enough to accomodate my complain by sending their engineer. but no solution is insight. i am already getting tired and frustrated thinking about it, much worst the consequences of this characteristic of my truck. It pains me to return my unit to the dealer but i have no other recourse. i cannot sacrifice safety over good looks. no offense meant.

I'm supposed to change my front and rear shock but rancho shocks don't have an assembly for the front shock. The rear was replaced with rancho.


So far the ride was smooth again but a lil bit bouncy, i have to change my front shock soon


I have to change my tire to AT and change my front shock soon... I hope this will improve my ride maneuverability.
