Replaced my stock battery(lasted 23 months) last May with Amaron after Battery Mgmt Sys Malfunction showed. But I was still able to drive it for 3 weeks haha!

Bought mine from BF homes for 6k less 250 for trade-in = 5750 with 24 months warranty, warning signs disappeared after a few minutes of driving.

Batteries are a consumable part like tires. Warranty will still be intact.

Thanks sa quick response sir. Actually, that's what I'm actually thinking. But i'm also thinking na, when time comes na mag ka system problem/failure baka sabihin nila na hindi ni la accredited or hindi valid yung battery na nilagay ko (sorry if newbie thinking ako hehe, because I am, LOL)

Many have experimented w/ regular batts on Start-Stop vehicles. OE specs require either EFB or AGM.
What's the difference between EFB & regular batts?
EFBs are an enhanced version of the standard wet-flooded technology. The pluses of EFB are improved charge acceptance and greater cyclic durability when operating in a reduced state of charge (typical of iStop Start/Stop applications). Approximately, EFB batteries will provide 85,000 engine starts, compared to 30,000 starts from standard flooded product.
Why the cheaper regular batts are not recommended?
Cheap batteries costing drivers with stop-start cars - Green Flag
iStop is a costly & complex system. Cheaping out by using regular batts may void your iStop warranty, should it fail.
Dealerships offer Motolite EFB exclusively at about half the stock Q85 batt. Johnson Controls has a better one. OVTph carries these proper sized, direct fit EFBs for Skyactivs. Please call +639174726847. Some who are anticipating stock batt expiry have already gotten em as spares. Stocks may now be limited....Peace of mind is priceless.

Where to get wiper blades in Manila/Makati area? Prefer Bosch or Hella, forgot that it should be replaced/maintained ( ~4 years old).

Almost 4 years na rin set ko. Was looking for PIAA pero out of stock pa daw according to their FB. You can get NWB 24" 18" as a set on Lazada. I bought a similar set for my dad's CX-5 and they were a good fit.

I know they couldn't match the Soul Red color before. But good news...

"Mazda owners know that its special colors—Snowflake White, Soul Red, and Machine Gray are hard to touch-up, especially if its been through an accident. Well, owners will now be happy to know that Mazda Philippines has teamed up with a renowned paint specialist to offer their dealer the latest paint technology, re-finishing expertise, and paint shop training services.....

....Mazda Philippines now officially recognizes and recommends them for use in the repair and repaint of all Mazda vehicles at the brand’s 20 dealerships nationwide...."

Sir can you provide the spec/model of the Amaron battery you bought? Was the stock battery the EFB type suited for iStop or just the ordinary one? TIA!

I'm thinking of just getting an Amaron battery when the stock EFB battery goes out. I don't use my M3's iStop feature so I'm assuming switching to an ordinary battery like Amaron should be ok.

Hi Sir, checked the receipt and warranty card and it says I got the Amaron 1SM Pro. Regarding the stock battery from casa, not sure if it was EFB type but I rarely use I Stop also. Yup, I think many 2.0 owners are using Amaron already instead of Motolite.

The suspect tests were performed on samples of manufactured vehicles selected during the quality assurance process. Samples were found to have been tested under incorrect driving conditions.

    ...

This is the first time Mazda has been implicated in a quality compliance scandal since the first in a series of such cases emerged at Mitsubishi Motors and Suzuki in 2016.

At a news conference later on Thursday, Kiyotaka Shobuda, Mazda's senior managing executive officer, told reporters that there were no deliberate alterations to the data, and that the improper inspections did not affect the quality of the cars. "The company takes the incident seriously, and will make sure to prevent the improper inspections from happening again," Shobuda said.

    ...

Masataka Kunugimoto, managing director at Nomura Securities, said the impact on business performance would be "very minor if any."

"It seems that foreign customers do not mind these incidents as they do not really affect the performance of the car itself," he said, citing similar previous cases.
Subaru submitted a report in April that it said detailed the extent of its falsifying of fuel economy and emissions data, as well as testing cars under conditions not recommended by the government. But the company was forced to admit in June that the problem affected roughly double the number of sample vehicles.

Nissan owned up to its own fuel and emission cheating last month. Additionally, both Subaru and Nissan used unqualified inspectors to perform final vehicle checks.

If government keeps on making unrealistic emissions regulations, companies will be forced to do things like this ... Technology has not advanced quickly enough to meet these regulations ...
