Not sure sir. I couldn't see it on the sticker on the driver's side door and haven't checked the owners manual yet. But online it's saying to keep it 60psi (which is high) that's why I was asking. My other car's spare isn't a donut so this is my 1st and hopefully won't need to use it hehe.

The donut spare tire in the Mazda3 (1st gen to latest gen) is an inflatable tire. Max psi is 60. I use 40psi which is suitable for any car load.

Yes it does fit. When the speedometer shows 100kph, your actual speed is 101.4kph.

Sir Redline Junkie I thought that '225' refers to the wideness of the tire therefore no change in speed. I was more considering the tirewell rub.[emoji3]

45 refers to the profile ratio based on width. So if your width increases, the profile (bigger outside diameter) also increases which affects speed.

For me this is actually a good thing. I've been checking the distance travelled through the speedometer and comparing it with Waze and highway distance markings. Apparently based on my observation, if Waze says I need to travel 30 kms, after 30 kms (based on the speedometer distance travelled), kulang sa ni more or less 1-2 kms.

Has anybody observed this? Or this only happens on my Mazda...

Thats pretty normal as sometimes tires slip (speedo counts the revolutions of the tire after all) plus commercial GPS receivers are accurate only up to +/- 5-10 meters.

Thanks for the inputs. However my issue is not in 5-10 meters but kilometers. Waze and Highway km signs are in sync. But my speedometer distance reading doesn't. I've never experienced this in any of my other cars.

Basic map reading... elevation changes does matter.
