My Mazda 3 suddenly went into limp mode, car moves slow, the engine light and TSC light suddenly appeared, does anybody have any idea what might be the cause of this???

What symptoms prior to dash lights? Have the wheel speed sensors checked 1st.

Could be the ABS sensor. If you know someone with an OBD scanner you could find out what really is wrong.

Nothing unusual, I was turning left to my destination and then it happened, it's like I'm running with my handbrake engaged, I turned off my engine when I reach my destination and turned it on again, the TCS light was gone but the check engine light warning is still there, the car now runs normally, but the istop light is gone. Could it be the istop battery causing the problem or need replacement???

Possible. Weak batts can pop all sortsa ghost codes. Have the batt condition checked. If it's dying, go for the Johnson Controls Delkor EFB. Call +639174726847. A number are now on the better EFB.

Thats because you are in limp mode. The engine is holding back on the HP to prevent damage. Engine RPM will not rev higher than 2k and speed sometimes will be at 20-60kph max. Usual culprits in Mazdas are a dirty MAF sensor or a busted O2 sensor. Pero check mo rin yung gas cap kung loose. It happens in a lot of cars.

Already checked the gas cap, tight naman, so I suspect either MAF sensor or the battery, anyway, I'll bring it to CASA tomorrow.

Even with the check engine light, can I still use it for half a day? Need to use the car for at least half a day sana.

Should be ok for short trips... Just make sure you won't have to climb up any parking ramps. Hehe

Pwede pa yan. Yun lang reduced power, you can go up ramps, just slowly. I would avoid the expressways though, city driving should be alright.

Sadly, much like God, OBD scantools are only remembered when needed. Allergic to guesswork, I prefer to equip cars w/ Scangauge2. Reads/Clears codes; gives you real time gauge readings like coolant/intake/*tranny(*in some)temps, voltage, HP, speed, RPM; can do speed, time logs; shows fill volume need to full tank & more. They warn you before things start failing.

I bought a cheap Bluetooth OBD scanner. Then paired it with an Android fone with the Torque app. Diagnosed dirty MAF sensor in my Kia. Just cleaned it up and then cleared the CEL with it.

You got lucky, sir. Them ELMs are hit or miss. Some are good. Some work awhile, then conk out. The bad 1s just don't work at all. The really bad ones can do harm & freak you out...

Can you provide the product's name, perhaps a link from lazada, olx or amazon?

Cool[emoji106] Hooked fulltime or as needed? My android is on the mzdconnect. The SG2 serves as our dedicated multi-gauge monitor. Peace of mind.
