no, its the one in ambuklao road here in baguio. btw mikey177, i am about to order 36 liters of chemrez's bioexceed from AMR at 73/liter. 36 liters kasi that's their minimum for delivery. if you are interested, you can pm me the how many liters you want and you can pick up the bd from my shop in magic mall.
medyo oc lang kasi ako with my bd. i derive some pleasure in pouring the stuff in the tank before filling up. i usually fill up 50 to 65 liters at a time kaya swak yung isang liter muna before they pump in the diesel.
tnx pala for recommending the dunlop le mans rv501s. i drove at speed into standing water monday night in ilocos norte and the front end of the carnival just plowed through it without much ado. i just placed an order for another pair para sa rear naman.

August 12th, 2005 05:34 PM #372diesoline, yung 73/liter is what container? 36 liters minimum for delivery, free? Delivery up to where? Baguio?
Yung sa iyo J3? CRDI sa iyo di ba? Weird naman ng kia, same classification ang crdi at yung tdic.

the price is P73 in liter bottles, 36 pcs. minimum for free delivery in metro manila. but the guy who answered the phone says 24 pcs is ok as long as the delivery point is near cubao. the carboy is P1300 delivered, kahit one unit lang.
i will switch over to liter bottles because decanting from the carboy tends to get tedious over time. imo, the liter bottle's contents might also be in better condition because it has been exposed to less oxidation as opposed to the carboy's.
yup, the engine is also a j3 as indicated in its engine number. the layout in the engine cabin is virtually identical to the tdic's except only for the injection system and the alternator.
altec, re your pm to leolop, where did you have the sedona wired for the amp? i have a couple of unused amps that i want to be installed in the carnival. medyo hesitant lang kc ako because i messed up the electronics before when i diy'ed replacing the horns. as a result, my airbag sensor module was fried and the seatbelt indicator light on the instrument panel is constantly on.Last edited by diesoline; August 12th, 2005 at 10:35 PM. August 13th, 2005 12:41 AM #374diesoline, paki pm na lang ang contact number and contact person ng amr cubao. I checked with my staff, and our company has used over 600 liters of biodiesel already.
Regarding the amp, I went to the shop where I previously got it. Just paid them to install it for me. The ampli was placed under the driver's seat. Plenty of space there. Then I asked them to provide wires so I can put the sub (placed in a box) either at the rear, or beside the driver seat in between the driver and the right front passenger if in case I need to use the rear for baggage. However, 99% of the time, the sub is at the back. I watched them while installing. Mabusisi, they opened the center console to connect to our original HU, so I don't think its a DIY thing unless you are really an expert with these things.
I asked them that I want to listen to the music with and without the sub, even using our original speakers, wow, iba talaga ang dating. EVEN without the sub at the back, iba ang effect with just the original speakers!

well, i now have my 3sm outlast exceed battery and 20 liter pail of BD from AMR. still, the serious concern was the ******* of black smoke when we pressed down the accelerator to 3k+ rpm. i hope the change oil, exhaust power wash and BD will solve it enough to pass the emission test asap.
just some quick questions:
1. is there a compartment somewhere in the back where tools and the jack are placed?
2. what's the capacity of the gas tank?
3. is there a downloadable manual somewhere?

August 14th, 2005 08:46 AM #377Leo, yang 3K rpm na black smoke, sakit talaga ng engine natin. I've surfed the internet and was surprised some postings from europe and australia commenting also at the 3K level umuusok siya. But from what my uncle in law said who imports surplus kias excluding sorrentos but including the carnival, yan daw ang problema sa korea. It's a matter of adjusting the governor lang. From my experience, no matter how much the casa will adjust, uusok ulit. Yung sa akin, pansin ko ngayon, di na mausok like before, after I deliberately revved it up and have been going uphill more frequently. Meron pa ang occasional 1st rev puff of black smoke pero not like before na halos walang tigil. Another cause is clogged air filter. Could be the filter is dirty na rin.
In my local sedona, the tools compartment is on the left side, very near the tailgate, just beside the rear tail light. Fuel capacity is 75 liters.
The manual seems to be generic, meaning whether gas, diesel both TDIC or crdi, pare pareho lang. Makapal yung manual niya na back to back pa, 15mm thick.

August 14th, 2005 08:51 AM #378Dahil kay Leolop, nagbasa ulit ako sa manual. Surprised ako sa nakita ko. Sino dito naka gas version? Coz on page 5-3, special mention ang gasoline containing alcohol and methanol, na maximum 10% lang ng ethanol, and 0% methanol. Ethanol is known as grain alcohol, while methanol is known as wood alcohol daw.
Vehicle damage or driveability problems may not be covered by the warranty if they result from the use of 1. gasohol containing more than 10% ethanol, 2. gasoline or gasohol containing methanol, 3. leaded fuel or leaded gasohol. BUT, nothing mentioned about diesel.
I know the Kia casa that I send my unit to officially sells bioactive biodiesel, so biodiesel is accepted by kia.

3. is there a downloadable manual somewhere? i haven't been able to locate one up to now. maybe i could have been using the wrong search phrase. the most promising lead that i got was a russian site that pirates copies of the cd-rom kia carnival II's owners manual.
leolop, replace your air filter too. it only cost me P330 the other week at fronte.

Are they on track to surpass last year's sales?
